AUD/USD really far from the gravity center in 4H. I am long since 0,9966 (-108 for the moment)

GBP/USD short has been closed @1,6071 +101 pips

Good config for a long on GBP/CHF also.

very trending right now so COG will give many false signals. best strategy is to go with the trend, mark S/R, and catch pull fib pullbacks.

Aussie long @ .9804 (double bottom). Make sure to go down to 1min TF and see a price action reversal before entering. 20p stop loss.

Fellow COG enthusiasts and especially thread participants who have continued over a long-haul to trial, trade and shake out various COG systems (Belkhayate 1 & 2 / any and all the various Oan / Paulus, etc., etc.)...

...are there those of you who are settled, convinced, confident, and complete (at this stage...for the time-being that is!) in your continued use of a *particular* form of any of the COG "styles" (or several, if for different market conditions / time frames, etc.)?

Would you consider it worthwhile to share here, for the benefit of all, some renewed, refreshed, and most current discussion (and develpment) of your best and brightest...as of 3/19/2011?

Best to all,

Ron

Hi ron,

I have 6 years of trading Forex exclusively.
I use COG since over 18 months now. Plus a few indicators.
I bought the original version and learned the original way to trade with it.
I'm a swing/long term trader. (4H and Daily)
It is profitable.
I have not used any of the messed up setups and lower TF on this thread.
Plus, nobody had the balls to call their shots before facts like I did for a while.

The rest does not concern you, just the emails I'm getting from most newbies.

Everybody thought I was crazy when I said I usually use 400-800 pips SL. Well, when you use large TF you need such space while trade develops. I did not like to be called so or emailed for that mather.
I make tons of money and jealous people are amongst us.
I like them, while they bitch I cash !
And to sound a bit more crazy, I add some positions when I'm loosing some trades ! How is that for crazy ! When you know a pair or a certain currency is reaching all time lows or high like the present situation with the YEN, I will put my house on certain pairs that will go back.
Now is that crazy like Warren Buffet was called so many times ? Or is it confident to the bones !

I do not discuss about it in here anymore because of the stupid questions I get from newbies. Yes there are such things as stupid questions when humans want to play piano at Carnegie Hall without taking any piano lessons or envy Celine or Oprah... You know what I mean, lazy get rich hamster brains.
Forex demand or command a lot of time for a lot of pips, period.
There are no quick fix or magic reciepe.
I did my homework like probably nobody else in here at a rate of 12 to 18 hours a day and sleepless nights and so on.
I do great and for some, awsome.
Yes it's time I brag about it because I'm also fed up reading great threads that turn into pissing contests and sissy bitching just like I'm doing right now.
I never strarted a thread becaus I know how it will turn out eventually. Know it all and bitching.
I've donated so much of my time to traders that did not have a penny to invest.
Whatever guru's say, demo trading is for the pussies, live is for the trader. Yes I busted demos and live accounts like crazy, but I never hassled anybody for quick fixes in those days.

If you want to know what pressure is, try to imagine you are at the 18th hole and you need that put to win, then your partner reminds you that there are 10 million people watching and you are going for 3 million dollars and an ugly green jacket. Then he say ok putt ! That is the way I feel sometimes when I'm 600 pips in the hole and the charts begs me to enter another position !

I hope I made my self clear to all.

Pip it Up !

BigMike

Big Mike, you got a chuckle out of me there!

You sure "putt" it out there, and I do get your drift!

So PM me your current best system! (just kidding!)

Way to hang in there, buddy.

Ron

PS just for clarification, when you said you bought the 'original system'...you mean for money, and was it one of Oan's when he was selling from his site?

guys, one system is as good as another.
you need practice. you need time to find your way. you need to "feel" your system.

when you think you need to get spoonfed, you will loose.

as big mike tried to say: it's all about psychology.

there are various indicatory posted on this thread. take one and use it.

btw great post, mike. rock on, my friend.

You certainly have a point, aserbfx!

That there can be some dangers, as you refer.

But that said, and beyond that, please come on, if anyone else has a mind and heart to have got my gist, and would like to communicate, as I posted.

Best,

Ron

Loll ron, I'm happy I've made you grin or smile !

The original from Mr.Belkhayate's distributor I think his name is Serge Dumoulin. It's 99$, and I'm not for copies of any sort.
Oan has nothing to do with it.

Hope this helps.

Pip it Up !

Appreciate the particular of the system you built off of with your blood, sweat and tears, BigMike, and I am reading the translations of some discussions that I Googled, using Belkhayate and Serge Dumoulin, It perks up the little gray cells and has value (to me...in *my* little *opinion*)

Regards,

Ron

Hi Big Mike,

First of all, I would like to say THANK YOU. Yes, thank you because for the last few months, I did my homework and you are the one that made me think about what was wrong with my trading. I was good at cog and like you know I made big performance on my account but my lack was on the money management part. I say was because know I am following some strict rules where I am only risking 1 to 3% of my account on each trade where I used to put 20% or more trying to get the home run. I am also putting some very large SL and this is not for newbies but when you know what you are doing this is great.

I read and read again this thread and in particular your posts and that gave me the "whaou" moment and I am know a total new trader.

So thank you for that Big Mike and hope your trading will be successful for a long time.

Erwan.

Hi Foreign Mark,

I appreciate the kind words.
I might sound tough and ruthless, but Forex is 100 times worse and many don't realize that untill they blow a few accounts.
What you were trying with 20% risk is normal, I did that too at some time and even more than that !
Money and people don't mix well. We become abnormal. When we win we are on top of the world and when we loose, we feel depressed and stupid so we take a bigger position to catch up the loss !
I know the feeling trust me. Been there, done that.

Pip it Up!

BigMike

Hi rb,
I'm still in that trade and added positions at .5985 on retrace, it will continue as we speak, unless big news or giant selloff.
Tighten your SL to lowest previous couple of candles to protect profits like .6290.
Possible targets are .6459, .6718, 6878 and .7043.
You should have taken profits midway on 2 of the 6 positions so it is already a profitable trade.
What the hell am I doing, I'm back or what! Ok, I'll shut up now.
Pip it Up!

BigMike, it seems you have factored in technical analysis along with the COG which is what I was trying to do but you are doing it so much better. Yet I wonder how you determined that you shouldn't go short at the red line (~.6260)? Because I couldn't resist the temptation to go short there but later on I reversed my direction due to technical analysis. Thank you for the detailed reply by the way. Also it is a long way between .6459 and .6718

rb
