Hi Paradoxical,

well one thing for sure I dont know when the trend is change otherwise im a pipslionare by now, im sure u know better than me to recognize it, me myself only using the indicator i attach on post 2090 and candle pattern, I like simplicity.
how much loss incure when trend changing? well my answer is big enough if the market change to the opposite direction suddenly more than 200 pips, so i strongly recomended not to trade when the market is changing, continue to ride when the trend is clear, im not gonna stop saying that. I think...

Hi Sam,
How exactly do YOU know when the trend is "clear", would this mean when (on short for example) the candle turns red again that you start EA again or is there something else you do to, reason i ask is because of ranging markets at the time, you might end up losing what you just gained

Good day everyone!

I have correctly loaded the indicators, the template and the EA yesterday. The smiley sign appears on the topright corner, which means that it was loaded correctly right?

I also followed the step by step instruction of Samurai on post 2090.

But my EA is not making any trades!

I am on IBFX Metatrader.

I would appreciate suggestions on what's wrong. Has any of you experienced this? How was this solved?

Thanks!

Trust me, that is the biggest BS he could have told you.

My advise: go to another broker, they are around on about every street corner nowadays, so be careful you pick a reliable one.

Hi all, I'm looking to run firebird but can't find the latest version. Can someone out there throw up the most recent updated version please?

Or Skyline can you edit your first post and add the most recent version?

Thanks all!

There seems to be mixed reviews on this EA. I noticed on other threads discussing firebird that for some traders it is profitable and others who used it for a while noticed a large drawdown. Maybe a poll on this thread or another showing how many traders find it profitable or not would be a good indication.

Not much sense in taking a poll. The firebird is legendary. It has been around for a long time, and many many people have tried to make it work. EVERYONE WISHES it would work, since the concept is so elegant and very profitable when things are right.

One thing for sure, Left to its own devices, it will make you rich, and then make you poor even quicker.

I know a few guys who have done just fine with it, by intervening a managing it, turning it on only when market conditions are right, turning it on only on certain times of day. I hope someday, someone is able to make it work.

Look for the "Driving the firebird" thread. It may have had the best success so far. It's an old thread, and I don't know how active it is.

Has anyone been able to test this on a live account? I've tried to get a few versions to run live but all failed. They only seem to work in backtest.

Versions I have tried but do not work live
v065tf
v63G
v63H04(EA) 5 digit platform
v1.04a

I am currently testing v3.2(5 digits) on a live platform but have not had a trade in a few hours. I've even changed the MA timeframe to 1. Anyone manage to test any version of this live. I am using Oanda MT4 platform.

You probably know this, but just in case...Smallest lot size on Oanda MT4 is 0.01 STD Lot, 1000 units. Is that the lot size you really want? May be a bit much with Firebird...

Yes I know that's the minimum. Right now, I can't even get Firebird to even open 1 trade...

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this thread and I was impressed about this ea,but I'm a little confused about the version and the settings I should use. Can anyone give me the best version and settings for a 5 digit broker(Alpari) that really works on a live account?
