Returning price at the top of the Y axis

Does anyone know how to get meta-editor to return the price at the top of the Y axis of metateader 4? (Time is the X axis)

e.g.

1.3500
-
-
1.3450
-
-
1.3400

What function would I use to return 1.35?

Appreciate anyones replies on this,

Appreciate your help a lot, thats worked nicely

I'm testing a strategy thats based on PA on the 15 min bars but trend is taken off of the 1 hour chart.

The WindowPriceMax and Min needs to come off of the 1hour. Is there a way to reference it from the 1hour while strategy tester runs on the 15 minute bars?

yes but in a different way. you have to get the highest high in the past x bars. or the lowest low in the past x bars.


int iHighest(string symbol, int timeframe, int type, int count=WHOLE_ARRAY, int start=0)


double iHigh(string symbol, int timeframe, int shift)


The first function will get the bar count of the highest price bar(not the price however). You then have to feed the bar count into the second function as the shift amount to get the price level of that bar.


as in,

int xBars = 10;

int BarCount = iHighest( Symbol, TimeScale, MODE_HIGH, xBars, 0 );

double HighPrice = iHigh( Symbol, TimeScale, BarCount );

hmm well I'm not really trying to return the highest price of the last X bars, I'm more trying to return the highest price on the Y axis scale.

If you look at mt4, the highest price may be say 1.3525, but on the Y axis it will be up at say 1.3550.

So say the above was on the hourly although my strategy trades on the 15 minute candles, the WindowPriceMax and Min of the hourly is what I'm trying to return.

I am not really understanding why the chart scale itself would be more important then the actual price that created the chart scale. Also the price scale can be altered by dragging it with your mouse or setting to a fixed scale from the dialop box. I could possible create some code to do this but unless I am missing something I see no value in that. enlighten me please.
