Just to let you know the spot has alot more volume on the bar you've labelled test!

Yip, I've already declared my love for the futures. I find it much easier to read. Its early days though, there are others here way more experienced than I am that can comment on the differences between the 2.

btw how are you finding running esignal on Mac? any problems with parralells? or have you just a high spec mac?
Ignored
I've got a macbook air with 4gb ram - its awesome bar one small problem with esignal. Ocassionally when I alt tab (erm, I mean cmd tab lol) the top and bottom part of the esignal screen has disappeared - I need to cmd tab twice to get it back. Screen redraw issue I believe - I don't have the problem with tradeguider.

Works for me, although I'm confused why it took them so long to do this. We're getting close to US open as well

As noted yesterday strength in gu 2nd entered this morning at test 1.6180 from bed on iPhone . I knew strength and I knew test area. Simple trade even reading off iPhone it was easy knew background is strength . Test after strength is critical for me anyway . I could have entered lower 24 hours ago an be nail biting for 24 hours, but why ? Simple strength watch trade mature break above 1.6180 provide test on 15 enter trade with 10 pip draw down to make potential 100 .

I will post chart and talk more about this trade once I get out of bed.

Also in regards to multiple time frames they ate a click of a mouse away. In tradeguider I have a watch list with all time frames on eu and gu on left side of chart . This kist shows trend and vsa set ups

I'm not critising the setup, just suggesting that a beginner could easily get caught up in focusing too much on a few types of bar shapes, rather than learning to read the action. If someone needs a test to enter, they also need to see it. You obviously do, but it often requires looking at half a dozen timeframes to spot that well-defined test bar.

That's putting words into my mouth. It's not my method to step in front of a moving train, and attempting to pick a top of bottom doesn't necessarily mean getting in at the very apex of the move....

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and to VSA trading, I started reading the old post and just finished the reading of MTM by williams,

I would be very grateful if some of you would help me with the folowing analysis:

Attached are two charts of the Copper (HG),

In the backround I see a strong up trend even if the last top as been made on poor volume.
After this action, the market started to look like a range,
On the first test circle in red I see :

First candle huge volume, small spread : the selling pressure is absorbed
The day after, hammer = test but to much volume, this is not yet a bull signal still some supply at this level but show some bullishness

Second chart ( copper 2)

the wide down bar on 40 k (normal) vol with no follow up , next a test , hammer on 33 340 volume (volume from IB , I d say it is rather small volume) , less than the previous reaction on this level, I think this is a bullish signal with the last test being on lower volume .

I'm really new to this method so I would welcome any comments,

Thanks to you Malcom to share you knowledge on this forum,

have a good day $

trading with one eye from an Iphone easy trade back to sleep - well thats a style of trading to aim for :-)
Out of curiosity what are you looking at on the iPhone is it just your broker platform chart or mt4 & you toggle between the two?

Man I gotta get back on schedule... the new baby has me completely off track. Well I missed LO again for the third time this week and I got up 30mins later than I normally do for work...

Nice 15min set-up that I would have taken before I left for at 6:30AM my time off a 6:15AM trigger bar (had I not missed the entry by over sleeping

Yellow lines left to right...

1. Wide spread, high vol closing on the lows...
2. SO
3. Stronger SO (new highest vol and new trigger level bar)
4. SO confirmation
5. Wide spread NS
6. High vol test / SO of trigger bars high, closing on the highs above the trigger showing buyers keeping it up

Entry would have been on very next bar...

I look at those 3 ugly wick bars in between trigger and entry as probes up to check for supply at yesterday's POC...mixed vol with no selling reaction.

Well I am batting 1000 this week, 0 wins, 0 loses, 0 trades...

chart 1 2 hour , crosshairs who strength coming in , high volume closing off lows sent market sideways

chart 2 is 10 min chart .. note blue trend bars , green diamonds and h stops under price ( damn should have been trying to pick top ) ....lovely test of 6180 break out level (marked with cross hairs) with high 6190 for entry , 50 pip tp into resistance , now waiting for us open.

If 1.6250 breaks then we see new high for week

definately supply at 1.6240 for now

All correct. Now, who spotted it in real time? It's called 'hidden' for a reason!!!

Usual TP would have hit(10% ) and much more. If anyone is still in this trade, you should have closed when the ultra high volume bar came.
