OK, so this is not entirely true. I have had ideas of my own; the most significant led to TOB inb its current form.

The fact is this; without Bob and macman, TOB would not have come into existence.

This next statement is not a dig at you, I promise - just making the point. Anyone who did not already know the info in the previous paragraph has not done sufficient research.

I am very slow reading the threads because of my poor English...I will research harder before I ask more questions. Hope I will understand the whole system soon and start using this EA on my live account in the near future

I assume that the orders were cancelled by TOB when a new candle formed on the hour. As the comments column isn't visible thats my best guess.

According to my understanding, it is when there is a new higher or lower which makes the sixths indicator redraw the lines that the old orders will be canceled and the new order is opened according to he new dash line ...It is not when just new candle is formed. If the new candle is formed but it does not have new higher or lower, the order will not be canceled. The two pictures on that thread both has new highers which caused the dash line moved. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am still doing research on how this EA works.

As to the error message, a google search may help. Here is some information I got from a website:

" The expert advisors that work on one broker can stop working on another; the problem with them often lies in OrderSend Error 130. If you see Error 130 in the Log of your MetaTrader platform when your expert advisor should be opening a position, then that means that the stop-loss or take-profit levels are set to close to the current market price. In the MQL documentation this error is called ERR_INVALID_STOPS («Invalid stops»). Some Forex broker set the minimum distance between the current price and the stop-loss/take-profit levels to prevent scalping or abusing the quote delays. That’s not a real problem for the majority of the expert advisors that don’t use scalping. To prevent this error from occurring, you need to change the expert’s code.
First, you might want to know what’s the minimum stoplevel is set in your broker’s MetaTrader server. Adding this line of code will output the current minimum stoplevel for the currency pair of the chart, where you run the EA:
Print(MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_STOPLEVEL));
You shouldn’t be using stop-loss or take-profit level, which are closer than MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_STOPLEVEL) to the current market price. If your EA calculates stops and take-profits dynamically, this is what I suggest you to do:

  1. Declare a global variable for the minimum StopLevel; e.g.:
    int StopLevel;
  2. In the init() function of your expert advisor define the minimum StopLevel:
    StopLevel = MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_STOPLEVEL) + MarketInfo(Symbol(), MODE_SPREAD);
    Note, that adding a spread difference is also required.
  3. The next time your stop-loss or take-profit is calculated, just check them to be not less than StopLevel:
    if (StopLoss < StopLevel) StopLoss = StopLevel;
    if (TakeProfit < StopLevel) TakeProfit = StopLevel;
  4. Don’t forget to refresh the current market rates with RefreshRates() before adding the stop-loss/take-profits levels to the actual market rates.

That should help in the majority of the cases. At least, for me such handling of the OrderSend Error 130 has always worked."

I noticed when I was backtesting TOB and TOBTL both using default settings, TOB has higher DD for each pair I backtested. I think TOB holds trades longer hoping for more pips then TOBTL does.

If you're testing the default settings of both then yes TOB does aim for more pips by trying for the green line on alot of currencies so will probably be subject to more drawdown as the green line is obviously harder to reach than the gold. From my backtests TOB seems to have better overall profitability though, to go with the sometimes higher drawdown. ChaserL settings seem better than Max settings from what I've noticed too. IMO.


Is anyone trading TOB live yet? or is it still a demo only bot. Seems to be working pretty well now.

The furthest back I can go on my platform is Nov 10. I would like to see how these 2 EA's would fair if we had similar majorly trending markets as we had during the worst of the GFC. This would test the EA's long term profitability. Especially the hedging feature that is set to true as default on TOBTL

You need more minute data to accurately test with from what you're saying? Visit this webpage to get the required minute data and this one to get info about setting up a testing mt4 terminal. You can go right back to 2001 with 90% testing then, which I believe is a reasonable estimation of returns.

brijon in auto trading mode
as attach file you will find *.xls random open and closed (all) trade

best trade EURNZD = 111.9 pips (all positive)
worst trade CADCHF = -61.7 pips (all negative)

manual trade based on the signal EURUSD = 101.4 pips 19 trade (14 positive 5 negative)

profit on 1K account 261.58 pips ($231.38)

hope this will help in further development

Hello,
I am new to code writing, I am trying to write a code that will do the following
1- I will draw lines in the chart
2- I need to open buy trade when the price is traded above the line I am planning to call these line as b1,b2 … etc.
3- The code should open buy trade only if the previous candle closed above the b line and the current candle open above the b line

Here is the code but it not working the way I want can professional traders help me

Hi Steve

I just found that the default setting for TOB with the jump stop is false. But the TOBLT was set to True. I wonder if you use the TOB with the default setting or what? Thanks for your time!

I have never used a stop loss in live trading with this bot. Stop-losses kill the profitability stone dead.

As to the others, pretty much.

Hi Steve. Just downloaded the latest TOB. Upon compilation, error message 'OBJPROP' - variable not defined' pops up. Normally, I would utilize my vast coding skills to remedy this, but instead thought it would offer an excellent learning opportunity for you.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Looks like your download is corrupted, so try again. I just compiled from a download without problems.

have a look at the file below - there is quite good explanation of jumping stop - it may give you some overwiev if you want to use it or not.

I have set it to TRUE on both TOB (live account) and TOB TL (demo) and the results are good.

Besides as far as I understand correctly the TOB, even if jumping stop will
work -> so you will finish with some profit ->and then the price will move further back to the magenta line the position will be triggered again and you will again have an occasion to take some pips.

I hope it makes some sense.

Guys please correct me if I'm wrong.
