Hi All

For some of the guys looking for info on the testing I will post some weekly stats if that is ok with everyone.

I am using the ChaserL setting true, and some other settings are.

0.01 per $100
I use the 1.1.2.4 recovery model

In my Trade Management model I set my
BreakEvenPips = 40
BreakEvenProfit = 30

Week 21-25 February

Total of 47 trades over 15 pairs
39 Winners, 8 Losers for a 83%-17% ratio
for a Gain of 6.6%

This is (newer) The Old Beast dated 26 Feb 2011, not the one in the zip file.
After Steve fixed the entries that happened close to each other it has been running like a dream on my side.

Now, I'm not sure if this is correct for the Sixths... Maybe we should measure the number of deviations from 0 to +/- 100 instead? Any feedback would be appreciated.

The starting balance was $3000 and is at this stage at $3205 for a total of 8 days.

Today was actually not bad at all, netting me 58.9 pips and any pips in my pocket an not in the criminals is great.

For the 8 trades closed today 6 was winners and 2 losers but the one was profit of 0 pips but it had a swap which was negative on funds
And of those 8 trades, 6 was less than 24 hours duration and one of those was a recovery trade.

The pairs I am trading is AUDJPY/CAD/USD, GBPCHF/USD/JPY, USDJPY/CHF/CAD, EURAUD/CAD/CHF/JPY

Krypty, I am also using the newer TOB and the following are my results for the week 21-25 February:

Closed Trades: 74 on 18 pairs (of 21)
Winning Trades: 59
Losing Trades: 9
Even Trades: 6
Win Rate: 79.7%

Pips Gained: 1172
Pips Lost: -138
Net Pips: 1034

My results seem to be roughly in line with yours.

Every time someone posts like this, it vindicates my decision to make my code open-source.

Missing out this code was an oversight and I cannot think how it happened. Cheers José; this is a fantastic contribution.

The difference it is because in my code in the upper post I prefer to exit the trade when touching the white, green, or gold line, without considering the situation of the stop loss in that moment.

No, it is fine as is. The state of the stop loss is irrelevant.

FWIW guys, I have only found hedging to cause more problems than it cures.

My basic live-trading is this: trade lot-sizes small enough to allow trades to go silly-pips against me without causing the account any difficulty and I can allow Recovery to deal with all bad trades. This might take a long time, but the account is never threatened.

I agree, not a big fan of hedging.

Steve, I think Recovery is only allowed to place a trade with the same TYPE as the one it's recovering, correct? (or else we would get a Hedge) Where in the code is it that controls this? having trouble finding it. Trying to find where if I have a Buy open and is in need of recovery but conditions are correct to maybe make a Sell trade but doesn't because the buy needs recovery first.

pairs/margin in long term recovery are essentially marching in place, producing no gains, except for the TP at the Grand Finale(recovery completed). My old, besotted brain(never much good to begin with!!) can't imagine a remedy...Perhaps there is none. Perhaps this is as good as it gets...TOB rewards the patient trader. Pippo TG

Hi Guys,
I'm testing TOB. As you know it places pending orders. Sometimes it does not take them. Any idea why this is?
Below I've shown a AUD/JPY pending order that does not trigger. It was supposed to trigger at 83.69 as you can see on the chart. It's a sell trade and price falls through that level by (at the moment 40 pips). However, it does not take the trade.

Next is the GBP/JPY with a similar story. These were both big winners that showed up as pending orders but were not taken. Pls see chart below.

The third chart is open trades.

Can anyone explain please this anomaly.

The 4th attachment shows an error message in the Experts Tab. Error 130 Invalid Stops. However, I have stops at false.
Anyone know the problem please?
I had a PM from Tamas (who can't post here) and he says he has the same problem.

Hedging is probably the only thing you and I have ever disagreed on…..I have always thought that Hedging is a world class tool and I have used it very successfully for a pretty good while…..But with that said….Hedging has to be done manually IMHO…..This is how I have my cake and eat it too while still enjoying the benefits of one of your robots and anybody can do this and bail their butts out of hot water…..
