Most of those look like good trades. That was a dream chart come true....

That chart is trash... untradeable in that low of consolidation. We need to get you trading on the Daily chart. Trading the Asian session is tough to begin with... and only having an hour is worse. Start Demo trading Daily charts... same rules. You may only get 1 or 2 trades a week but they will run several days each and make a lot of pips. Make sure to use a S/L.

Dan on post 3831 has the 21 ema dotted on his chart as well as the 233 line (from the 21/233 method). I'm going to set my chart up that way to test it out for trading... so if you see it on one of my charts... that's what it is...
Does anyone have a TDI that I can change the levels to 20/80 that will stay put. All that I've tried from here as soon as you change time frames they revert back to 32/68.

Below is a Daily chart. I marked the 8 trades that would have been taken. TDI is very important. Enter when green crosses red and exit when green crosses red or green fish hooks. Study the TDI. Any bad entries would have been nothing compared to the profit earned. It takes 24 hours to build each candle... so you have 24 hours to enter correctly and exit correctly...

On your post #3847 you have 3 red candles consolidating and your green TDI line is hooked up... I'd say it's time to exit that short trade.

I'm know you tend to monitor your daily trades for a while before setting a SL (and then try to set the SL at BE) but what SL would you recommend on the daily chart if you are unable to monitor the trade? I'm able to trade between 16:45 - 23:30 GMT and 06:30 - 07:30 GMT - would 22:00 GMT be a good time to target just after the new daily candle has formed.

Hi 2scoops

Since you are not always able to monitor your trades you might find this breakeven ea helpful to you. You can set it to trigger after x number of pips to breakeven or breakeven + 2 or whatever you want.

Just at the time your broker updates the charts is the best time to place any trade on the Daily Chart..

Even during the day when I place an entry on the Daily chart I don't use a S/L... but I monitor the trade and when it moves up 20-30 pips I put in my S/L at B/E + the spread normally.

Most traders on the Daily chart who place a trade and walk away use a 75-100 pip S/L.

You need to click on tools on your platform, then click on options- then click email, this is where you type in the settings that your email provider wants. You can use a gmail account, gmx account, whoever-- just check what the settings are. You also have to know the email for your phone, you can google that. Hope this helps.

Hello,
I use the Trix along with a TDI. I would like to see my trix coded with a Yellow line just like on my TDI and the levels you would see on a TDI. I use it for divergence. Anyone who would be willing to help would be great.

Just an additional word of warning to any newbies or unsuspecting traders who don't believe in their own fallibility. If you are trading a daily (or any higheer timeframe chart tht requires a larger stoploss) you had best have a larger account that can handle a 100 pip drawdown and not affect over 2-3% of you acount. If not, you won't be trading in the future. This type of trading without stoplosse (or large stoplosses) is good for someone with a lot of experience or a riverboat gambler but is suicide for a novice. The attached quote also mentioned using a 75 - 100 pips stoploss.
