GBPUSD - Everything lined up....

1) Failure at pivot
2) slope on NoLag turns red (down)
3) red dot paints on AMA

If you missed the trade in the previos post - patiently wait for a low to be put in - a yellow dot. Then watch price rise and put in a lower high - below the pivot. Once a lower high is in place, look for confirmation to get short.

Scratch! Missed that one - look to another pair.

EURUSD and AUDUSD look a little top heavy... but be patient and wait for reversal pattern and confirmation.

EURUSD


So why am I not short? Price is above the daily pivot so my bias has to be for long entries - unless I get some sort of indication that a reversal is in play. We have a new high in around R2 - so I would expect a higher low to print somewhere below 1.3820 to tell me that this move up is over. A bull candle taking us above 1.3820 indicates that we should still be looking to get long if the opportunity presents itself.

EURUSD

Lower high has printed at 1.3800 - now if we can get confirmation a nice drop should be in play. Just don't jump the gun!

Same happend to me got disconnected and now theres a gap. By the way i have a question the marked candle wasnt that a correct entry to your rules ? Or did i applied the rules correct and it was just a trade which gone wrong?

Mondays are often tricky and in the past I have been hesitant to trade on this day. However, I am warming up to the idea of idyllically trading a low volume Monday, I just need to repeat to myself - JUST STICK TO THE SYSTEM STUPID!

I have not previously mentioned that a red semafor can be an agressive entry signal to short. The following chart shows why we use the slope of the NoLag MA to filter trades. There were 2 short signals during the European session, however they did not meet the requirements to trade. The easiest way to see that shorting would not have been a good idea is to look at the slope - it is green and still pointing up. Not to mention that price was moving away from the pivot.



Speaking of the pivot - since price is above the pivot - any shorts should be approached with caution and an eagerness to take profits early.

Action was a little choppy this morning but there were still a few low risk entries to be had....

It is not repainting - the semafor is based upon zig zag and will change if the price makes a higher high or lower low. The semafor's are used as guides and are not the main indicators of the system although I will sometimes use them for agressive entries, however, never without some other confirmation.

Semaphores i don't know but that NonLagMA is really something. The guy on Forex TSD got it right when he said that - or something to the effect of - Igorad's (trendlaboratory's) NonLag step indicators had forever changed the face of indicator trading. Whether you use the steps or not, it seems to work pretty good the way it's set in your template. i'm a squiggly lines person and have so many on my charts that it's nice to have something different, but haven't actually determined yet whether it makes any difference in the signal. The indicator works great on GBP/JPY and use it with several timeframes. this after just getting TVI (Tick Volume Indicator) optimized to work with that pair. Which i thought was a great revelation and inovative - to discover an indicator that no one uses - and it's still a little better than anything else on 30-minute. But NonLag beats it in about every other situation.

I think the semafors are nice when used in conjunction with the no lag and the pivot point. If you have price below the pivot point with a down slope (red) NoLag then every red semafor is a sell signal. Plus if the semafor paints BELOW the NoLag it is almost always a golden egg (for me 21 pips).

On the flip side if price is above the pivot look for an up slope (green) NoLag and a green semafor to buy.

Take a good look....not 100% but a very high probability trade. Low risk too

Thanks Enochben, will try and set up semaphore on my GBP/JPY and see if it works with the pivot in favor. Probably should. Cannot shake addiction (really a calculated risk) to GBP/JPY. My broker FXM has variable spread sometimes one pip. Of course this may be common now but was unheard of two years ago. My acct. when I finally start live: $150. Have been getting 15% per wk. Thanks to TVI. This should perceptably improve with NonLagMA. Looking forward to first live trading in the money instead of out this time. Now if could manage to get so much as an hour's sleep during the week.
