I thought I'd post a chart of some interesting vsa principles on the GBPUSD. I cant understand how the Eur can be so powerfull today and the pound not. Taking a look at this 15 min chart you can see the high volume up bar closing in the middle with the next bar closing on less volume. Price stalls and makes another attempt at the high and tests and is met with sellers. We try again to take the top and me with more sellers and this time high volume. Im not shorting this yet as I would like to see a drop and then a test of the breakdown point. I will post a chart if I see this. Keep your eye on this.

It must be to do with the DNS (Domain name Server) that your ISP is using. There's a variety of URLs that are used when one uploads to imageshack, and you never know which one you're going to get. For some reason, the DNS that you and your ISP is using does not know how to translate these URLs into IP addresses.

As an example, the post here by Dr. Geppy leads to http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/4...0223150116.png - the URL translates to 208.94.1.209. So, this URL should work for you: http://208.94.1.209/img813/4231/20110223150116.png .

If it does, you should ask your ISP about why their DNS does not register or keep track of these URLs - there is a whole range owned by the imageshack folks, so there are hundreds ; there's really no excuse, other than a deficiency in their DNS. It is possible to use other DNS's from other ISPs, but ideally you want one in your geographic area. (Just in terms of explanation, everytime you tell your browser to go to text URL, it goes to your DNS that your ISP provides to translate the URL into a 4-digit IP - a DNS is like a yellow/white pages for the internet)

As a workaround to view the fine Dr. Geppy's images, take the URL name, and enter it in the lookup box here: http://whoisx.co.uk/ . Then, replace the IP address you're given into the imageshack URL, and you should also be able to view the picture.

Check out the 10, definitely looks weak. Yet the low of the HV bar got tested. Im waiting for a test on last weeks highs (blue line) or like you said, testing of that break when we get confirmation on the weakness.

Nice chart. My thoughts exactly. I'm sure the sellers in that bar will not want to make it too easy to short and profit thus I am expecting some sort of weird bs move in the coming hours. Trichet is speaking soon which will move the Eur and this would most likely be the time for them to screw a little with the pound. A trade will present itself then.

if you trade the es watch out for a test of 1320 as safe entry for a potential longterm trade with support of the daily.

Hi Beljevina,

I tried copy and paste directly into the IE browser,
http://208.94.1.209/img813/4231/20110223150116.png
, also have same error, cannot see image.

Also used Chrome browser, also same error.

Used whoisx, and put the above URL and then press "Lookup", no image came up, just all the IP owner info "Whois details" came up instead.

From Dr. G's image, how do you see that it is 208.94.1.209 ??
I right-clicked "Properties" and could not see the IP address.

Any more suggestions ?

DX is again key to further EU strength imo. Looks like DX is to test the last support @ 77 and although it looks like some buying volume is trying to prop this up, if we fall through 77, we could see rapid movement to 76. This would bring EU well above 1.38.

Hey guys, been away for the start of this week been on flight.

Looking at the daily yesterday is loaded with strength, and all the strength in the daily in the background.

Took yesterdays high's and looked for a test at 1.3700 ish. It tested it then tested it again later ( the first 2 marked bars) Then later in the day there was more testing.

Some days youll have no trades using vsa but this will always be made up at some point.

That means it is purposefully blocked at your ISP's DNS. Not sure if there's any applicability here, but I think countries like China purposefully block some or a range of IPs.

The browser you use doesn't really matter, because every browser - uses the same and only DNS that your machine is configured for.

If you could right click from your browser above the link where Dr. G's picture is, and choose the 'Open Image in new Tab', you should then see a separate tab or window where the URL will be something like "http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/9977/20110223170016.png".

You then take the 'img51.imageshack.us' portion and put it in the Lookup box, and then take the 208.94.2.101, and in a new browser tab, enter the address ' 208.94.2.101/img51/9977/20110223170016.png '.

But, if when you do that you still can't see the image, it means not only is your DNS not indexing imageshack addresses, they would also appear to be blocked.

There are some other technical things to try and get closer to the root of the problem, but I think we might be getting off track here ... you might want to email your ISP and ask them what's up.

Perhaps one more thing to double check ... go to a command prompt by selecting START->RUN and in the small box type 'command.com' and hit enter/OK. From the command prompt, type PING 208.94.2.101 and hit enter. If you get responses back saying it has found it, along with some response times, that's good. PM me, as I might have a solution. But, if you get 'Ping request could not find host 208.94.2.101', then it's a ISP thing and you should ask them what's up.

So trichet spoke and now some action. I am short already but will add more if the scenario on the chart plays out. Crude has gone bonkers and shooting for $100. Nice trade pres78.

There seems to be a bit of support at 6200, 2 or 3 times today it has tested below it and retraced.

Thanks... I am still in long on GU from 6170 on my second lot so I am watching the hourly candle very intently to decide whether to get out or let it run...

check your 30 , you should have been out of that long and lookign for sells HOURS ago as in 8 hours
