Does anyone follow corn futures or futures for that matter? How do you get a long term chart since the contracts usually just show a few months. Also I'm liking the price actiona and s/r on corn for a long with a pb yesterday. I don't have enough data to do a fib from any meaningful level. Anyone got a chart or idea.

Just get a North Finance MT4 demo and you have access to some futures charts

Or go with Fxpro...

They have a decent futures collection too...

Since each contract has an expiration date, long term, multi-year, charts come from using the front month charts. When the March contract expires, the July contract will be the front month and its data will be used.

One way to trade corn is a spread with wheat. I have an indicator, but I´d like to do some changes.

The attached indicator displays the spread between wheat and corn. It has 2 lines, a green one is the spread. The blue one is the ratio between wheat and corn (usually higher than 120). What I need is an option to set and alarm at any price on spread. For example wheat price is 870, corn price is 730, so spread is 140, and I want to buy at 145, but I don´t want to stand all the whole day looking at screen waiting for price.

There are more spreads to set alarms, as example T-note/T-Bond, an option to choose the elements of spreads would be a good adition too.

One more featurs is a script to open positions buying and selling at same time, but the indicator is more important because you can do a further analysis of price when spread reach any given level.

is there any way to trade grains like gold and silver is traded on Oanda? I.e with no expiration date? Also what kind of money do you need to trade grains?

You will need to have a look at a continuous contract chart, which is a chart composed of different expiry months connected together...In real life, this is something tough to get...It's not impossible but it's a little bit tough, especially if you need to get those types of charts free of charge...Try using Google to check it out...

I am not sure if this is possible, but I don't think so...Trading grain futures the normal way through a futures broker will require margins, both initial and maintenance as required by the exchange....

The good news is that all grain futures come in 2 flavors, standard contracts, requiring high margin requirements, and mini contracts featuring lower risk and lower margin requirements as well...

After 16 years of trading, I came to the conclusion that trading in commodity futures, including #Сorn, gives a very positive result. If someone shares the trade in this tool, let's communicate and debate!

I'd be very cautious trading in agricultural futures. I know a big corn trader, and trust me, the traders in Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, etc. have very good first hand information the general public won't have. I wouldn't want to participate in this kind of market knowing I'm at a major informational disadvantage.

Good afternoon, everything is possible, I do not deny this aspect, but only talk about what I see and what I understand.
In this case, I trade Corn 2-3 times a month inside the day, rarely when the transaction is postponed by 1-2 days. Profit works upon reaching the level of $2-10 profit. Such a day, for example, was 12.05.2023 g. The next date when I will "Buy" is 24.05.2023 g. Good trade!
