I beg HiddenGap not to bite my neck for wasting his PRECIOUS teachings.
When I see a high vol bar on 1 hr I consider the previous or next moves in the same direction to determinate the s/d area.

It's proving to be working and following this picture we're still in the range of this moves from yesterday.

look at that chart ... yesterday there was low volume under 1.3470 area ....that on a daily set up is a test

maybe this takes time and maybe there is one more shake out to 1.3290 , maybe 1.3291 lol.....

in fact i've been long all day (and collected quite good pips anyway) and i am still bullish. If you notice 3470 was reached just once (in Frankfurt) and reacted quite violently.

I no longer trade this way, but there was a key change in the supply demand dynamic in the form of a WRB Hidden Gap.

There was an opportunity to get short at the No Demand that followed the Up Thrust. On the right side it looks like a failed test.

If you had been paying attention to my posts, then you know I am at odds with Malc (and that worries me). The trend is down. More importantly, VSA works..........

So let me get this straight. If we have a high volume wide spread bar, we'll take the last chart for example. Can we consider the high, low and close as trigger numbers or is it just the close we can use?

HG, you call that a no demand after the upthrust, is this more effective in this area because it's at the same price as the high of the wide spread bar?

I did pay attention and I was out right on the test failure. I'll wait the break of 3460 before looking for short.

I am bottom picking ....and likely going to get myself in trouble . i did say to myself I am not getting into a buy till 1.3630 taken out and i get a test ... but here i am lol ...

trend is still down you are right and selling up moves is safer while it is

This really does go back to the old school. In the original teachings by Tom and Todd, the ideal place to take a signal would be within the range of a high or ultra high volume bar. WRB analysis narrows that to the body of the high or ultra high volume candle. There are a few more requirements as WRB analysis is independent of VSA. From the WRB it is the more effective place to take a trade because it is an area where there was a change in the supply/demand dynamic.

Trigger numbers came later when Gavin started doing the webinars. Yet, you can see that as price rose to the high of that volume candle there was little professional activity on the upside. You should recognize that the candle has more selling than buying even though it closed off its lows. Because the next bar is down. Now if there was indeed more selling than it is of little surprise that as price moves back up towards the high the BBs are not heavily involved.

The WRB Supply/Demand concept emphasizes a zone rather than a particular price point. As does the original teachings since they talked about the range of the bar. Yet it all comes down to seeing what you want to see, where you want to see it.

On a side note- Is it just me or is Melissa Lee hot?

I wonder why Malcomb and myself can go to a nice restaurant with laptops on the table analyzing the markets while drinking and eating whatever we want without having ever found this "Hard Shyt" you refer to. Or why is it others in here and myself included have been disallowed by certain brokerages to trade from without knowing these "levels banks play."

You need to check yourself before coming into this forum and posting; there are some real big boys in here with wide bank rolls who have "seen the light" vsa shines and love it. "What a Life" indeed.

tic longs under subscribed by 25 billion usd does not drop like rock ?

looks like they are holding market for some reason ...things could get really interesting in next 48 hours
