SHIFT Display Question

hi,

maybe someone with more MT4 experience knows this.

I have a number of charts open (smallest Chart is M1). So I like to see as much past data as possible.

Is there a way to fine tune the minimal shift distance in a chart.

At the moment I tried in my template: shift_size=1

but it is still a bit too much and I would like to have it closer.


Maybe some settings or with some programming?

You can do what you want with the chart shift mark. The chart shift mark (a gray triangle in the upper part of the window) can be moved with the mouse horizontally within 10 to 50% of the window size.

Once the chart is sized properly, it can be saved to the template for application to other charts.

I can see now where my problem comes from: the within 10% of the windows size.


I had hoped the smallest possible shift would have been less. as you can see below 10% is quite a lot.
