If you check my posts you'll find that I openly encourage people to argue......ok maybe not argue but challenge what Mal and some others say here. This helps the learning process no end and, they are very open to discussing their views and methods. What doesn't really help anyone much is the 'comparison' debate. Where people are questioning the validity of VSA as appossed to 'another method'.

If you want to compare methods, you could do it in private. Make your own trades as per your methods and then compare that with what VSAers say here. You will soon have enough evidence to make your own decision about which is the better trading method for you. Meawhile, we could all be benefitting from your input on the thread.

Hope you profit from your first VSA trade. Go careful when adding to the trade tho. There are correct and incorrect places to do this. In general, dont add just because you've moved to BE. Instead, wait till you find a good entry and go for it. Once you've found a 2nd chance entry and price has moved in your favour enough, you might like to think about moving your first entry SL from BE to your 2nd entry point.

Yes, but look at the last top. I think it has to be tested before down. So very likely it should touch .4330 (or at least .4100). I agree that last week's up-thrust (doji) looks bearish but in correlation with last high it could be only a sign of future reversal.

Yes, but last weeks UT was also with low volume.
We will see, of course elefants are right, but if I traded EU I would look for short setup`s.

There are times when you might like to 'forget' that the bar has closed against you (up in this case). This is one of those times. The sentiment behind the formation of the bar is more important here. You have all the requirements for a long trade (in the background). The bar in question was a good quality NS/test with the exception that it closed up. SM had moved up the price quite sharply(on the previous bar) then marked it down to see if there was any interest in lower prices, there was not. So price drifted up to the close of the bar. This is exactly what we want to see happen. The fact that it drifted SLIGHTLY above the close of the previous bar doesn't really matter in this case.

It is a hidden test.

Nice charts pal. I just wanted to point out a couple of things if I may.

There is no climactic action where you marked'Climax' there is not enough volume. A climax represents a trading frenzy at that level so volume has to be high. Also, it looks like you're using 'supply/demand delta zones derived from WRB analysis. If you are, the WRB you've used is not suitable. Its range is no where near wide enough.

Like I said, nice uncluttered charts tho, easy to understand. Keep um coming.

High to low that bar is over 100 pips wide... why is that not wide enough? The only difference is that in VSA we only consider the H/L and C (not the open)... Just curious.

just got in.. & just saw a few of the posts like the one below.

i think it's pointless to debate/argue when 2 or more people are not in sync or talking from different perspectives. one is using VSA, the other (based on his charts below) is using Ichimoku & Bill Williams' stuff. it's like 1 person is speaking Japanese, the other is speaking Spanish.

i think Mal, as the thread starter, should be more strict from now on. this is a VSA thread, & for the benefit of all, this thread should stay on track & discuss mainly VSA stuff.

A-speculator, & to the rest who will follow his steps, with all due respect, if u wanna debate, go debate with a VSA perspective. else, go some place else.
as always, i will report any trolls, if ever i encounter one.

not that surprising. same with nfp a few weeks ago, we had the same pa at the 1.3050 level before price dipped to 1.29 and then rallied.
nfp in this case was tricky-t's speech, one day before we even had high vol kicking in the first time. the dip below was yesterday. nothing has changed at all, just hiding of orderflows by creating the picture that market comes off. friday was a no supply kind day followed with a shakeout below fridays lows yesterday. preparations for rally are at work.

to be absolutely safe for longs we should wait for 3680 to be tested.

It is WRB not WSB. The spread is irrelevant as long as it can be considered as wide.

Thanks for the advise. Yes it sure dont look climatic that is why i mark the HS (hidden selling). I have to call it something, "premature something" or maybe . For me the area above the prelim supply is all a bunch of climatic action. I have a tendency to view it collectively..

As for WRB yeah you are right infact the one the day before is more a WRB bar but need to ask you though, dont NFP event or FOMC news etc, trigger some sort of change in Supply demand? I am sure during such event, time compression is so significant that it would bring to bear a WRB worth considering, even if the body is not as wide as it should?
