I guess u r better then me... as i actually just follow her... i cant tell her to dance where and when....i jsut dance when she dances...that itself is very tough ...... to make her dance is another set of story....

Hey, just a realization. If you guys follow the 3k, it seems that when "manipulation" happens, its behavior while being "manipulated" seems to indicate institutional interest. Seeing the movements under the 1min tf is even more telling.

Has anyone else experienced this?

EDIT: I also noticed that after the manipulation, if the 3k aligns well then the pair is likely to have found a direction. A perfect alignment usually looks a lot like the GU is a magnified picture of the E/U. If the manipulation tears the crosses and the difference is volatility alone, then the current move will probably correct and resume in the correct trend. The volatility tear is often seen again in the GU and the EU.

In addition, sometimes it seems that GBP and EUR and JPY are in correct alignment, HOWEVER their steps are off by a few beats. It's as if they are dancing to the same song, but wrong tempo relative to each other.

Anyway, I managed to cut at dip to 1.3545, feel like more downside to go, but can sell again better price.

The title of the best Vipassana book I have is "Mindfulness with Breathing, A manual for serious beginners". It was written by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu and translated from Thai into English by Santikaro Bhikku.

As I mentioned, it's an old-fashioned print book, not an e-book ( jeez they are so backwards here in Thailand ) but if anybody is really interested and it isn't available online, I can scan the start of the book and stick it on here so you can see if it's your cut of meat / cup of tea / bag. If it is then I will sacrifice some of my cross-dressing weekend time to scan more of it.



EDIT: Buddhadasa Bhikkhu founded one of the famous forest retreat temples in Thailand in 1932 - Suan Mokkh.

Just before I go.

To save anyone else from the tortuous experience of asking ProRealTime where they obtain their forex prices from this is the content of the third response I received from them after very politely asking 3 times where their pricefeed comes from...

"ProRealTime's Forex datastream is a professional quality composite datastream of the most important forex market actors and comes directly from the interbank market.

We do not communicate any details concerning the exact composition of this data stream due to company policy."

They had mentioned the term "important forex actors" before and I asked if they could confirm whether these would be the likes of Deutsche Bank and UBS, but they won't tell me

Hi, maheswara,

I think inefficiency is in the eye of the beholder. If guys running arb books are likely to agree that a market in question is too difficult to trade, they may then decline to trade. That itself is information which you can use, if your tools can spot the non-participation. I like to think of it as a giant poker game. If the entire table is playing too conservatively, with little participation beyond the blinds, your best strategy is to play aggressively. You will muscle people out of pots and steal a lot of blinds. If the entire table is playing too aggressively, with a lot of bluffing, your best strategy is to play conservatively. Sit and wait until you have A-K suited or a pocket pair. Then if you can isolate the table down to a heads-up situation, you will have gotten your chips in with likely the best hand.

When a market is too conservative, with low volume levels, traders will be too scared to fade an opening gap, because it's like re-raising a big bet. If a market is too aggressive, with very high volume (from every type of participant), you will have far more cases of opening gaps getting filled because of the sheer number of traders stepping up to fade the move.

EDIT: The Chinese stock index futures market has relatively low volume, and from what I have been hearing from my friends with domestic licenses there, simple breakout systems are wildly profitable; because there, the big risk in an up/down gap is not that you will be caught in a bull/bear trap, but that you will have missed your bus if you don't get on immediately, because the market could possibly gap the limit for several days in a row (Actually, not sure about the up/down limit moves, but I've seen them in many of the emerging markets I've traded in their infancy). On the other hand, the Nikkei stock index futures has tremendous volume, and every gap will immediately see huge volume as counter-trend traders will more confidently try to fade the gap, since they are aggressively challenging every impulse wave.
