What about Green under Yellow under 50 for a short entry?

Hi Guys,
Ive been reading this Forum on and off now for a few weeks. Ive looked into pure price Action including James 16 info, which has been great, but for some reason, I am still gravitating back towards using the stochastic indicator in my trading decisions. (Something that isnt used the J16 )
Also, I really don't/cant sit in-front of my monitor all day on the 15 minute charts. Time zone issues, I live in NZ, so I like the idea of trading the 4hrly and Daily's.
Can anyone here comment on there personal experience using the Stoch 8,3,3 method that CH teaches on these time frames? Im still a newbie here but am really enjoying learning...Cheers

Look at the previous crossover, the one where that up move started, didn't seem to bother the price any.

That move was 200+ pips, so if it retraced half of that.......... also, see the divergence there with price going up, the TDI sloping down until price made that correction, then continued up; wish I was on that.

Seems to me that, on 4 hour charts anyway, the best moves are from the extreme crossovers, and being extreme they just cannot be on the safe side of the yellow line.

Maybe for continuation trades on the 15 minute charts, where there are more swings, that might be something to watch for.

No problem, send me a PM detailing what you are having problem with eg, time, colour, THV settings?

I wish there was an easy way to send all setting with MT 4 indicators, can't even take a screen shot because it won't expand the box....

I concur with your assessment 100% and trade the same myself but earlier in this thread there was opposition to my doing so. Hope your hurricane has not caused you or your loved ones any harm. I too live on the coast and can only say we have been lucky.

Hi Big E:
Say a candle crosses over the 5EMA to the long side, but it's a red candle, does that still qualify as a setup candle or does it have to be the same color as the direction of the trade? Also, I have no access to charts from 6AM to 6PM EST. Are there enough 1 and 4 hr trades to consider trading the Asian session or should I start at 2AM EST, like I believe you do and just set the TP and SL at 6AM? I guess what I'm trying to say is should I ignore the Asian session, even for the Yen pairs. Thanks for everything you do.

I'm not an expert, but I think it is the nature of Heiken Ashi candles that when they change direction, they change colour immediately so you will be hard pressed to find the situation you describe, do you have an example to show us?

And the shift of the Moving Average also makes it harder to occur, Big E, do you concur?

Of course I can't find an example now, after I found 2 this afternoon. LOL. I was really interested in Big E's take on which sessions to trade. I have 12 hours to sleep and trade per day, trying to use them wisely, no access to NY session at all, thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it.

There is: just save and send over a template for your specific chart that someone would like to duplicate.

It stores all the settings for all your loaded indicators and EAs (if any) as well as all the other chart properties, except the time frame and the currency pair.

Thanks for the tip, now is the chance to put that theory to the test, ready 2scoops ?

Hi everyone! I am still reading the thread...so much great information!!!

Eelfranz, I want to thank you specially,for the information you gave here. What an eye opener that was for me!!! Trading 1H chart, with 5 ema method, HA candles...unbelievable! I did about 170 PIPS IN 2 DAYS ! Guys, this is huge!!! I trade about 1 year now, and I could never do half of that in a WEEK. My daily goal was 20 pips, and I had a real hard time doing that trading 5M chart.....

This is a trade I normally wouldn't have taken so I took it on a Demo account. Look how many hours it took to make a profit... This was entered up by the 68 line on the TDI... and the entry candles were very small... just luck it made a profit...
