Agreed this close to a pshyc level it could very well be absorbtion... Also last 5 min bar just closed as a NS...

I might tend to agree ... frankly and especially lately, the euro futures volume has been trickier to read that spot for some reason.

Separately, on GU, just realized that longstandring 1.615 TL in GU got rejected ... hmmm.... guess I'll take partial off the table ... then, Murphy's law says I will get the rest knocked out at BE, just before it heads right back up!

Could be, I've not been shorting as the trend is up. I'll be looking for a test of the breakout.

Not sure if it would help - but assuming you use a lower timeframe for entries - I have found tremendous value in a 4 minute chart - it points out buyers and sellers usually way better and may help with entries.

It works I believe because most direction-leaning selling and buying takes place in the very last minute(s) of a M5 and M15 bar, and the 4 minute does a better job of segregating out those tendencies.

And oh, I'd been shorting GU on the way up too ... thank goodness for non-NFA UK based brokers - I can be long and short! Wolf market I tell you! Seeing a ND on the 4M euro spot chart too, just below 1.38.

All of the 5min downbars are printing on lower volume than the upbars... Could we be in for another famous NY session (after London close) crawl up through 3800 and into 3835-3850 to complete the ADR for today?

It seem I am just not quick enough for M5. I should stick with the higher timeframe.
It was just that I saw UpThrust on M15, and thought I could get in earlier entry on M5.

I just put SL above the UpThrust.
The SL above the ND feels too tight, but SL above ND would help to keep SL smaller.

I do let my profit run when I can, and this bigger run help to offset the other many losses.
I let the profit run for the recent long EUR/USD and long EUR/JPY for like over 1-2weeks for last 2 weeks.

Sometimes greed set in when not knowing when to exit after a few hundreds pips and it may go back to just one hundred pips or even zero.

maybe but the M15 can't seem to close above 3790, and the M5 showing a ND followed by a small UT

Next stop once that 61.8 fib is cleared (should stay above today) is 1.4... I think we may see a retest of that 61.8 fib at 3740 before going to far to see if it will now act as support.

EU filled its range to the pip! what a horrible day, managed 16 measly pips from that move...quite disappointing. now have to wait for next long entry around 3770-3740 if the setup is right.

Not stop loss but losing trades .

About sl I can say that you just have to pick trades where you can put small sl to the place where juhanimi said. Intel has also written about placing stop losses if I remember correctly. For me personally 50 is too much. I never take trades where I have to put sl that far. 20 to 25 is more for me.
