Ok Ian..sorry..i'm not used to your harmonic patterns..i'll try to learn more bout it thru ur website.. but if no failed fifths how we gonna know if it's cont. or a reversal? pattern is a very important analysis ..as u quote " but in the Harmonic it can only happen where there is a 5-wave structure" ..suggest that the diagonal is 5 wave structure, but the subwave is not harmonic right..if thats what u mean..

Don't worry, it takes time to adjust! The difference between (say) a triple three and an impulsive wave (ie both 3-3-3-3-3) is normally dealt with by ratios. In a triple three it is very unusual for the 3 sets of ABC moves to be related to each other in the normal impulsive projections & corrections. It's also important, wherever you can, to know what can happen in terms of structural development - what you are expecting.

In this case the 1.3243 low was (I think) Wave (iv) and therefore Wave (v) will come in 3 waves ABC. Thus, diagonal triangle Wave (v)'s do not exist as they must develop in 3's... The Wave (c) of Wave (v) should come in 5 waves... However, it doesn't preclude a wedge - and may look like 5 legs - but it will definitely be 3-waves in a Wave (v).

Actually, one of the nice logical parts to Harmonic EW is that the structure remains standard throughout...

For identifying a reversal you will need to first have a target, it must reach that target in the expected structure, hopefully have a bullish/bearish divergence and if it's not a Wave (a) then you'll have a target from the higher wave structure also.

I have to admit this lingering around 1.37 is bugging me... All the signs for a reversal are there expect for price confirming it... The break level is at 1.3754-ish... If it gets above there then the Dollar Index will also have almost certainly broken lower and if that occurs we'll see a very weak Dollar... It just conflicts with USDCHF and also USDJPY I think... I am long term bearish Dollars... but didn't expect this to occur directly...
No I haven't got the wave structure wrong! I've corrected it!

Thanks you... but Elliott was the genius. I could have chosen to call this by another name like NeoWave and NewWave etc but I have only made one change. The rest I could not have ever managed to work out.

I have been accused of disrespecting R.N. Elliott buy far from it, I could not have discovered what I have if his original discoveries weren't made... I feel that if I didn't include the term "Elliott Wave" that indeed THAT would be disrespectful...

For me he had the most impossible task of working out wave relationships by long hand... no calculators and more important no spreadsheets... What he achieved was massive...

for your methodology .. u had change a lot.. from the motive forms to 3 subwaves..

yeah.. for me the market way is was dynamic.. in current and the past. sometimes.. the lesser degree of waves can't appear in same timeframe.. Bingo!!

i follow some your discussion ..it was great...my lazy is finding count...can u count EU UC GU on daliy time frame.....today im only trade with uc gc gj downside..of course FTSE , gold, ccy, strength meter , bond. usd index, stock market , coomodity, crude, too correlate..tnx in advance..heheh

thanks Ian ..jus started reading this..yeah i got ur view..very interesting thought esp abt divergence..get back soon after I study more of ur harmonic pattern...& study ur harmonic struc.

It's bugging me too..talk abt divergence..find anything with US index divergence to Euro rather than ur indicator divergence..u use RSI right? There's MACD dvgence at hourly TF but prices still tend to go north..something not right.. what i think cant trade divergence right now..

It's not a diagonal triangle..hehehe..but here i'm using the orthodox method..not trading this pair since last week.. forex trading is new to me ok..now i'm learning how to read bar pattern ..i like ur method..but ur scared me with the numbers..price level..& the spreadsheet.. ..as they say ..money is not real..(sorry for my English..it's not my native language)... and the euro is uuppp!!! wish i bought euro during the bottoming process last 3 weeeks..hehehe

Hi All,

when we are talking about the divergence pattern, we should look at bigger tf then it can be the revesal pattern such as 4h or d1......if we try to find a divergence in a small tf it will be to may noise, so the bigger is better......and for mazlan ru from malaysia coz i'm too hehehhe for eur/usd it seem to go up more until 13860 then it will start to going down from humble opinion......the swing up was very strong and maybe we can label it as wave 1 or A......just wait for a few weeks or 1 month then we can see the wave 2 or B to go long the euro again......this is the basic of elliot wave by looking the first swing up the search for the abc correction swing.....

ps: if you want to see a clear abc wave 2 or b swing go to nzj the formation is already complete, i'm just waiting for the confirmation revesal bar on d1 to go short this kiwi for 500 pips.....

Firstly, the first Wave -c- extension in Wave -i- was a very common 105.6%. The pullback in Wave -ii-... well I like them to be on the standard retracement ratios but this one was 45%. The projection in Wave -iii- was 5 points above the 261.8% projection....
..back to ur analysis..it's gonna take me some time to learn ... i dwnloaded the free preview..u stated :What I noted was that specifically Wave (iii) it is possible to take the ratios less than 100% and add them to 100%, 200% and occasionally 300% and 400% etc. Earlier I listed these ratios below as:
5.6%, 9.0%, 14.6%, 23.6%, 33.3%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 66.6%, 76.4%, 85.4%, 91.0% 94.4%
To this list we can add 41.4% and 58.6%.
Mostly commonly extensions in Wave (iii) I find on a very frequent basis are:
176.4%, 185.4%, 195.4%, 223.6%, 261.8%, 276.4%, 285.4% and 295.4%
Mostly commonly extensions in Wave (c) I find on a very frequent basis are:
85.4%, 95.4%, 100%, 105.6%, 109%, 114.6%, 123.6%, 138.2% and 161.8%.....



...ok Ian... i will learn this..esp the spreadsheet..get the input to my muddy subcons mind..think ur r a genius ...and consistent in ur analysis..keep it up bud..adios.

i think, that we have saw the end of the upturn. We finished the Wave B. Now we will see the wave C down. I think the price will go under 1.3000.
What do u mean?
