DislikedHas anyone got a problem with the trading hours input ?
I have mine set to 24 hr trading to increase the possibility of more trades just to see how it handles the action, however it seems to be defaulting to the original hours that steve set i.e. 0700-1200 and 1200-1500 even though I have set it to 0000-1200 and 1200-2400.
I've saved these settings and reloaded several times but it always loads the shorter trading hours !!!
Am I missing something ?Ignored
DislikedHi Ras,
Here's what I'd try.....IMHO you need to hit F3, delete the time variable.
Then make sure you have your bot's times set the way you want them.
Recompile/Save set-file and reboot and see if anything good will happen.....

DislikedThanks Whip. I'm not sure what you mean by the time variable, do you mean delete all the globals except the placed trades and then save / reload ? I don't want to do something to upset the bots pendings etc. even though they won't trigger if the bots hours are closed for trading as per screen message.
Steves update from post 1 has the 24 hr trading set by default and in Metaeditor it shows as 24 hr to my untrained eye but the onscreen message is still showing the reduced hours !!
Any further instructions would be greatly appreciated.Ignored
DislikedOk Whip that's straight forward enough. I just wanted to make sure I didn't make balls of it !!
Um don't seem to have a line that says time, just plenty of pendings and 2 trades.Ignored
DislikedThanks very much for your time Whip. My computer time is correct so I'll try the reload (again ) and see how we do.Ignored
DislikedWhen you drag a fresh instance of Beastie onto your chart, you have to load it with the set file.
As it happens, merely changing the time inputs works here. You have to do this with every instance of the bot, quite a faff. Much easier is to invest some time now learning how to edit inputs in the source code. Once edited and re-compiled, each instance of the bot will have the same compiled code - much easier that changing the inputs for umpteen bots on umpteen charts.

DislikedSteve,
Reporting a bug that I've seen a few times with the Trend side trading.
Hidden stoploss is in place at swing hi/low correctly.
Price retraces to that level, ea tries to close trade but fails with error 129 invalid price. Repeats that a few times then just gives up or I guess price gets so far behind that hidden level it stops trying.
I have logs of chfjpy giving that error over and over, then going quiet, and 10 hours later it hits the full emergency stop
Let me know how I can help track it down if you need.Ignored
DislikedI sat and watched Beastie steadfastly refuse to take an eu sell a few minutes ago, so I looked at the CT trades in the history tab from last week, and only found one sell.
I am not sure where that sell came from, because the code should have prevented it. This was a logic failing, which is fixed in post 1.
