Oanda to stop working on myfxbook from 31 January 2011

I just received an email from myfxbook that confirms they will not support Oanda accounts from 31 January 2011. See their blog here: http://blog.myfxbook.com/

The Oanda transaction history doesn't calculate profits in pips, which I found useful for tracking my progress and compiling weekly or monthly analysis. So myfxbook was ideal for tracking various details within the trading account and had some other interesting data in there too. Added to that, it was completely free.

So, from 31 January, I will no longer have these functions available.

As it was from Forex Factory Forum members that I found out about myfxbook, I thought it might be interesting to hear what other options are available for Oanda users (or any other broker for that matter) to get a similar service as myfxbook provide.

Please feel free to discuss or recommend which ones work for you best. Ultimately, I'm looking for something that works good with Oanda, but I'll be interested in all of the alternatives.

You can use (us) Currensee to track your performance if you trade on OANDA.

In my opinion (and as far as I know, of many others) this is unacceptable.

yep, it's a shame. Though Oanda said that a new API will be available "soon" and will allow 3rd parties to access the trading history.
Who knows what "soon" means...
While myfxbook won't work, oanda's Account Statement (beta) will be a decent alternative

ok but how then would currensee or anyother third party be able to pull your trade information without you entering your trading username/password on their website? oanda's account history sucks big big time and the best option one had was to use a third party like myfxbook to suck the data out of oanda and present it in a useful way.

I agree that it's not ideal but that's the only option we have and the only option OANDA traders have at this point - We can't control which APIs they expose and what these API require from users to provide.

As lfx has already mentioned you can use OANDA's Beta Statement for your personal use and we are working on a free API that would let you share your trading stats on third party sites.

I personally prefer fxstat instead of myfxbook. Oanda added MT4 as a trading platform recently so I guess there should be no problem connecting oanda accounts to fxstat... i don't know about others though.

You took MetaTrader 4 from Beta to Live accounts in one month.

You can't produce an API to let your traders examine their stats?!

Honestly, and frankly, Oanda's Beta MONTHLY statement is a joke compared to the utility of up-to-date (can be within minutes) stat tracking of Myfxbook.com.

Yes, I've expressed my displeasure on the Oanda forums as well.
As a customer, I feel that is what they are for.

Your FXManagers, agruably the most profitable and consistent customers perhaps trading larger sizes, are left out "in the cold" right now.

Their historical track records are essentially lost...until you fix this.
