Easy trend system/indicator

Nice system... Yesterday I captured around 100 pips on the USDCHF pair with it and today the USDCHF pair is at it again. Check out the screenshot... Yellow vertical line is 15 minute signal and horizontal line is entry on the 5 minute chart.

Hi prof8t,

Could you please indicate how you take your entries-Enter from a signal from 5 mins reverse back to 15 and see corresponding long/short or do you mark in the 15 mins first and go down to 5 mins. I sometimes see that the reverse from small to the higher tf looks more precise.

I've noticed the same thing, however, I took this trade by first marking the 15m, then going down to the 5m. I also like to mark the 15m and go up to the H1 timeframe as well for a different look.
thanks for sharing this system. ı think it will make more profit then loose . why?
signal or asct signal is nothing more then pa over-under 12-5 ema(but it doesnt care 5ema over 12 or under)
so higher tf gives you trend direction lover tf is for entry
if you put mtf ma of higher tf to your entry tf then you observe the trend signal without waiting indicator to put arrows
my idea is that ' if you have enough ma at your chart you dont need anymore indicator' . only try to understand their behaviours.and %90 of indis based on ma'
ok clubbygood don'afraid this system will loose. becouse it is based in logic of double ccı ZLR.or tunnel method of ma's. so synonim styles to trade
Thanks a lot Cubbybgood for sharing this system... seems like a profitable system in a trending market, especially according to the initial parameters.

Any pairs you wouldn't recommend? Any time period that should be avoided?

Also what are the setting for the MA's (not sure what "Faster Mode 3, Slower Mode 3" represents in the indicator settings) and if it's applied to close/open...and such. Sorry if it's a n00b question

This is a valid scalping method.

I have a version for Dealbook/Prostation at the ctlforum based on RSI. The only trouble is the small profit and lack of signals. 1 or 2 signals per week if you're guarding your PC, and 5 to 20 pip gains.

Looks like the EMA crosses provide more signals.

kevingoh: TEB uses 5 and 12 ema.
If you get a short signal on the fifteen and then look at the five and the signal has happened 35 minutes ago, is it okay to enter? If we are to wait for the next signal, it doesnt happen until 2 & 1/2 hrs later- look at the chart I attached. Is it okay to enter late if the trend is already froming on the 5 min TF? The vertical line is where I got the signal on the 15 min TF.

first time ı saw this threat ı manualy checked trend and entry and decide 30m trend 5m enrtry. . if two free traders gives same decision without alerting each other. it means double confirmation..( teb63 12-5 sys has entry tf30m )
so ı think 30m is good for trend
it means aproximitly doubleccı 72-12 zero line reject(at 5m)
as cubbygood mentioned entring at first zlr is better. and let one trade free run makes it more profitable

I try to make this system more rule based for the users here so problems don't happen and there's more structure to the trading. Anyway, on this trade you are welcome to enter. Entering on a actually 5 minute arrow can a lot of times help for a good entry so DD is minimal but it's not always the case. make the judgement for yourself on these kinds of trades...
Please, could somebody make this indicator for more bars ? I have only few days and I wanna make backtest with this please, please I can't open it in metaeditor. realy thx.

I wrote a version for CTL (Dealbook360 and Prostation). The histogram is showing 1 Hour ema cross overs, red/green bars are signals.

Im trying to make EA for this system. But all indis in ex4 format. Thats way I have a problem with buffer identification. Maybe somebody who is the real pro could check my code.

For any other traders: this version of EA is not workable!!! And for me its difficult to improve it without some knowledges about ex4.

Actually, I already wrote one using another indicator that is almost the same to the bar as the signals indicator (and sometimes a little better with entries). Problem is the same as most other Trend EAs... useless in a ranging market and will slowly kill your bankroll.

Came to the conslusion that writing an EA for this strategy will not truly be successful until we find a way in which to successfully filter out ranging markets.

If somebody will found a filter for ranging market - he will found holy grail )))
