For me Tom Strignano and Vladimir Ribakov are successfull forex traders.

Back in 2009, I received an e-mail from Mr Strigano explaining at great length why EAs couldn't possibly work profitably, while a discretionary system like his 'Forex Confidante' could (and supposedly did).

damm,the ribakov is selling crap too,we are back to the beggining,theres lots of stock traders that got rich trading pump and dump,tim sykes he made 800 000 this just giving signals and sselling dvds,and trading real account over years,3m altogether he said,

i see that lots of traders on ff earn a good living from this,is any a millionaire yet?

Ed Seykota did a return of 250,000 % in 16 years , making a few hundred dollars into millions with his own account. I think he is one of the successful forex traders.

I must admit that I learned a significant amount from Joel's and Peter's posts.

However (and just out of curiosity) can you point me to some actual evidence that they're millionaires, and if so, that they made their wealth from trading forex? Or are you just assuming this?

In post #70 I asked a previous poster to back up HIS claim that Joel and Peter were millionaires. I had my reasons: I've always had questions about the veracity of Joel's "$500 to $150k challenge", ever since I discovered this. I have other sources that have further increased my doubts, but I don't want to publish hearsay here.

It's true that I gained some valuable ideas from their posts....... like low risk entries, and aggregating (semi-)independent edges...... but unlike a lot of folk, I don't venerate anybody as a forex 'god'. I simply learn what I can from each contributor, weigh it up as well as I'm able, and move on.

In post #72 I merely posted a correction to a wrong web address.

I agree 100% with you about real pros not having their blogs splattered with clichés and hyperbole.

Anyway, on to more important things....... a very Happy New Year to you, Craig, all the best for 2011.
