But to decide if volume is low or not, compare it to the previous 2 bars only. That will give you a good basis. I think Better volume will paint these bars a different colour but I'm not sure cos I dont use it.

Noticed you took the trade at break of "better retest". i thought a test needs to make a lower low to be considered a test...i guess that makes your "retest" a hidden test? is that right?

Cool. Nice charts. How do you find the Polomine indicators? I keep meaning to properly implement them.

Watching the EUR channel closely here, but not seeing any VSA signs. Often this type of a bottom, given the signs of accumulation and word of options defense down there, holds. Could go up 30-60 pips from here, but a revisit & retest down here is almost a sure thing. Just speculation of course.

You'll notice that I called it a 'Better test/NS'.

Technically its a NS but if you look whats happening as the story unfolds, SM tested for supply and found some so they gave it time to fade out then retested. This time there was less interest but still the volume was not much less than the previous 2 bars. So, they tested a 3rd time. This time there was significantly less volume at that level. They are now free to move price up.

SM were testing for sure but, price didnt make a lower low so we dont call it a test. Thats why I put the '../NS' at the end.

any reason why u put 2 pips SL below that SO? is it because the spread for that pair is maximum 2 pips? or just personal preference?

Am i right to say that your intended win,loss ratio for that trade 1:1, since it has already hit your TP

i use Polomine's market profile indy...works great, but don't remember now why i use it instead of the other marketprofile indy posted on this thread. the other indy for d/w/m pivots is not polomine's, it works great as well.

can't read eu15...maybe like you say there are no signals...but H1 starting to look promising for possible long, waiting confirmation and test

I see that the resistance area did in fact hold again. We will need to see much volume or a good accumulation period to break that one I think.

I have been trading this type of setup for quite some time and I have found that if the SO/UT is broken, the trade will fail. Very often tho, price will come back and test the SO/UT but WILL NOT break it. And price will then go in my favour. So I draw my 'line in the sand' at those levels +- 2 pips for leaway.

TP is a matter of preference. I will never pass on one of these setups, I will take ALL the ones I see. But this throws up a problem. A lot of the time, I am trading against the major trend so, price will not go my way for long sometimes. I have found through hard earned experience that a R:R of about 1:1 will payout consistantly.

I do not always use 1:1 method tho. Some time there may be other factors to take into account.

Intel, is this "hidden" upthrust we see on daily? I've noticed that if the candle isn't quit by the rules many of VSArs call it hidden. Hidden nd, hidden ut, hidden hidden

MTM goes through this. When we call things 'Hidden' it's not because they dont quite match the criteria required, its because we are looking at a different bar with a different name. EG - An UT is an up bar. A hidden UT is a down bar. Read MTM for all the terms.

The confusion comes in when people (myself included) get used to miss-labelling their charts. Also some people missuse the 'hidden' label and that adds to the confusion.


ps 'hidden test' is the one that makes me laugh. Some of the uses of that label are WILDLY out of whack!!!!!

Checkout this UT. It is a reasonably good UT but, it is in completely the wrong place. See how quickly the UT high is broken. It was broken before the setup was compete so we should not have lost a money on it.
