Hi all,

I'm trying Chris_B's EA but doesn't have the comment on the left of the chart like zamanib does. in fact it never entered even a single trade yet so far. I've been using since version 1.0, now v1.5.. did I use it correctly? I use the free range bar.

What file are you using for Range Bars?
If you use Range_Bar.mq4 (the indicator) it will not work...because RangeBar is only a modified version of period converter.

I've posted an alternative in this thread, anyway I use the commercial version.

Hello all,

I run the ea trough different scripts, and i get it to wrok, because i get in the corner: "NO TRADES...WAITING", but in the experts journal or something like, i get a zero divide, so here is my question :

This zero divide, is it a problem or is it just a warning ?

BUG!!!

Attention, for those who use my EA....

I've found another bug and I'm trying to fix it, please don't use the EA on live account at the moment on more than 1 Pair.

If you use it on more pair this bug can move your stoploss very far from the price, for example I have a trade on GBPUSD with stoploss at 109.53 (oviously it's not the stop for GBPUSD but for EURJPY), but the EA goes in confusion between the pairs when it modifies trades.

I will fix it as soon as possible.

At the moment is the only bug I see.

WHat version do you use?
I had zero divide problem but with with version 1.5 it was solved...

CRUCIAL UPDATE!!!!!

Fixed the bug when using multiple pairs, I advice all of you to use this version in order to avoid problems with stoploss distance.

As I am an beginner, forgive me for probably basic questions.. but your posted alternative (RangeBarScript2) script is stopped and replaced by dragging of your script, so 2 scripts don't run on 1 off-line chart in parallel.

RangeBarScript2 goes in the 1minute chart, my EA goes on the Offline chart...they are not on the same chart...

the free range bar converter from the main thread does not work with EAs.
the script provided by Chris in this thread does work with EAs. however, it is not accurate (some bars have higher range) and it generates history files for all currencies, which consumes a lot of system resources.

therefore I modified the free range bar convertor from the main thread. the attached version works with EAs. put it into the indicators folder.

Thanks for the indi but after we attach on 1 minute time frame, what to open in offline charts ?

If you attached it to M1 GBPUSD, then you open the offline chart GBPUSD,M2.

Ok thanks i got it, but always zero divide, this afternoon i will try other demos brokers and others versions of the ea.
