From 1k to 1 million

Hi all and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The last 2 years were the most difficult years for me in many aspects. Nevertheless they were a very helpful learning experience and what could be better as a new extreme project where I want to make a million out of 1,000?

Well well, I know this has some extreme troll potential and I know the odds are against me but this could become both fun and boring.

I have chosen RBS MarketIndex for the following reasons:
1) Accounts are insured (like FDIC)
2) Oanda's platform (I just love it)
3) Servers are more reliable than over there at Oanda
4) much more instruments to trade (commodities, bonds, indices + FX) which allow me to diversify
5) tax reasons (I get printed reports from RBS which are accepted by the tax authorities here in Germany - I had real problems with the Oanda stuff regarding our authorities here. )

So ok, tonight is the night...

I'll start on Monday the 3rd with €1,000. Flame on!

I am starting with $655 US in a new account (not my main trading account) and have worked it out on paper to do the same thing this year with this small account. I am curious to see what I can do with it while trading with it on the the side. I have taken $655 and have a 25% target. Then I take that amount and have a 25% target, etc, etc. From $655 to $1 Million I have set 33 targets of about 80 to 100 PIPS for each target. It will take around 5000 PIPS to reach a million. bad news is myfxbook will stop supporting oanda by end of this month either.

Yes, commodities are great. As low as 1 unit for coffee, corn, wheat, sugar, oil...
