I don't like taking traders this time of year. Having said that - I have an account that a particular company in Britain is following that I am short this pair....but I have been since the trend line break.

I treat that account a little differently because it's a long-term situation, as they are looking for long=term traders. I don't have any of my own money exposed to this trade - so it doesn't exactly come with the same pressures. Of course I am careful, but this is a trade I am trying to ride until 1.50 or so for them.

Congrats Mr.D! Once you finally have that break through - it changes everything.
By the way, I know a lot of you will be reading over the holidays, and I encourage that.....however, judging by the nature of some of the "news articles" on the front page, be careful what you believe.

Free webinar on the 30th at 8 PM EST time, being the same time zone as New York. I know this is short notice, and in the middle of the holidays, so I suspect this one will have weak attendance. However, I might do this every month.....still kicking the idea around.

there is no password, so all you have to do is name yourself as you enter. The webinar will be looking at the bigger picture, so we will focus on longer term charts more than not this month. (I always think it's important to look at the big picture at the end of the year.)

Somewhere on this thread, I mentioned buying "Q" (Qwest) Jan 2011 calls w/ a strike price of $7.50 - I believe it was about 7 months ago.

The underlying is trading at $7.68, but looks over extended to say the least, as it is coming upon major resistance. So I closed out the 3 options I had - for a profit of $32 and some change.

Fear my option trading prowess kids.

I bet that worked out to less than a penny an hour! lol

Great thread! I've read through a couple of the bigger threads on FF and this one is by far the most honest and easy to follow approach. I'm just getting started in forex but I've read Pring on Price Patterns and have been reading threads on FF for about a year. I'm looking forward to the webinar tomorrow. Thanks again for this great thread.

Thanks for the note - it means more than you know.

And sorry about the lack of posting over the last week or so - it's just that there isn't that much to talk about this time of year, as trading is a fool's game during the holidays.

This trade triggered before I was anticipating it to. I have a 200 pip stop on it, and if it goes my way, we could be looking at several handles. I normally wouldn't get involved with a trade right before New Year's, but this break of support seemed important enough.

Yes, it sucks. But then again, there is a monthly pinbar......while it's not a good sign - higher time frames tend to be the stronger of the two.

It should be safe to short now, my stop was above that last swing high that got taken out yesterday.
