The one thing that has struck me since starting to follow your threads is just how ridiculously difficult it is to code a bot to actually work on Metatrader the way you want and expect it to .... hell, I have enough trouble just getting them to load !

Sometimes, the only solution to platform problems is to start again. Uninstall the platform, delete the folders left behind after the uninstall (remember to save stuff you do not want to lose somewhere safe), do a brand new platform installation, do the update thing, re-download fltr afresh and start again.

This is what I do when an instance of mt4 is buggered up to glory.

The problem is with your platform.

Just to let you know Steve - I get the same thing happening on my FXDD platform - in fact on different PC's and several difference installations of the platform - it happens across all. Not really a big deal though....

Tried all that, all newly downloaded platforms, " clean " with no custom indicators or other ea's to conflict with, all global variables etc clean, but still get the same problem
The fact it does it on all broker platforms does suggest it is not a platform issue, but then if it is not platform and not ea what else is left

If you are trading this on demo with no intention of trading live it is not a big deal, but if you want to trade live it is a very big deal as it totally screws up any trade continuation

Hello Steve and fellow traders/followers of Steve fantastic EA's

I have been following all your EA's steve and testing them on various different brokers, however I am a bit confused how you set this one up.

Im trying to attach the EA on 8 different pairs on a 4h chart, is it just a case of adding the ea to each chart or is there something else I need to add with it?

Also do I need to adjust anything for a 5 broker MT4?

Im a little confused by what I have read in this thread and I seem to think I need to add more then just the EA.

Could you give me a step by step on what I need to add, I am hoping to use this EA on 8 different pairs with a 4h chart.

I have been using the ea he posted and his set file on only the 3 pairs he is using with good success, live so far.

Go back and view his post and you will find the 3 pairs set file and ea.

Also read all of whips post too these 2 members got this thing cook'in

Also what is this about adding smpm to a 5m chart?

Hi jcs,
IMHO I think you should post your setup.....EA, indicators, set files....anything you are using with the bot to trade and then give Steve and all the hot-shot trouble shooters a chance to pass or fail your setup.....In Steve's case 80 seconds would be long enough....This way you can eliminate the bot as the problem....
I've done some awful things to this bot and haven't hurt it yet....but there is always a first time....

You might want to consider buying GBPJPY for the following reasons.

1. The GBP is at a big low against the JPY.
2. An earthquake has hit the pacific area.

Ok simple ... OOTB, trade trigger T1, but with sq trade direction false

As stated before no other ea's or custom indicators on the platforms, so as to ensure no conflicts

You may want to try adding SIXTHS SCREEN VER 3.6_DC and setting both bot and Indi to barcount 120...I don't know what ver of bot you are running.....
