Yes I am a US citizen but I do not use US based brokers and as far as I know hedging or any form of it can't be used...FTLR and Beast both hedge and any form of FTLR that I run or have run will have hedging used.
I have run that 3 EA setup on a live acc but it proved to be a little to exciting so to speak.....running it overnight was out.
The bot I have on my live acc is a hedger also and it also uses MPTM and is posted on the thread around the end of August....

Hi Whip, US citizen here also. I have been using Alpari US, but I want to look into non-US broker. I have been demoing with Roboforex and they seem to be okay. May I ask who you are using? Thanks - TCO

Hi TCO,
I use 3.....FXOpen,E-Global and Forex4you......FXOpen is my main broker and have been with them over a year.

That was my next question I use forex4you also seems ok sometimes slow on placing orders. I did realize fxopen and e-global took Americans
whip I'll look for your august post. I've been running the 11-15-10 ea with pipstrumpf set file hey made about 6 pips so far LOL live on 4x4u
Didn't think this would work with alpari us or fxdd for that matter too bad maybe the new Republicans will rescind part of the frank/dodd act.....don't hold your breath though

That's the reason I just run FTLR on a penny acc and keep the acc at $50.....You never know what might happen.....Hopefully our fellow Americans will come to their senses

DC if you don't find that bot yell and I'll repost it....

Give me a minute....Not sure

Here it is....And I know you know to remove the .txt on the set file......If Steve's new version runs half as good as this one this one will be replaced

I have a couple ???
So FTLR ea is put on a pair as is
then same pair another chart put MPTM ea load your set file
let it rip

Please be aware that forward test results can differ because of following:

Broker server time (GMT 0, +1, +2......)
Fixed spread or variable spread
4 digit or 5 digit
Demo account versus Life account execution
ECN, STP, Market Maker
Minimum pip distance to market price on pending orders

I think that is about it.

In my case I know that my life account execution is matching the demo account execution 99%.

Does the bot auto adjust fo 4 or 5 digit broker?
steve's bot ussaly does


and if not do I ad a zero to the bot for 5 didgit ore remove a zero for 4

since NY open today. RSI filter only, and PendingPipDistance at 13 on all pairs. 2 trades so far. Journal...spotless.

Hi Steve,
The bot is running well....Spotless journal with 23 pairs on D1 charts...PPD is 17....DESLP is 999....T1 the only trade trigger and no trade direction modules....Recovery and ATR Hedging both on...
The bot has taken 2 trades since the Market open, both winners...Looks like a classic FTLR and I'd love to see this puppy replace the FTLR on my live penny acc.

Hi Steve,

I've been backtesting the latest FTLR with hedging. There appears to be some undesirable "features", pls. have a look at the pics below.

 

  1. ATR hedge is being opened (and closed immediately) multiple times.
  2. TPs of trades being hedged are set to wrong BE

I have added a bit more code to try to stop the strange TP's thingy - not sure if it will work.

I have no idea what caused the multiple hedge-trade sends.

Hi Steve,
I just finished running your update to the FTLR w Rec and Hedge bot down the same track Krunofx ran the bot he tested. While the data is a little different (different brokers I believe) the results were pretty much the same.
The png files (enclosed) are labeled in order as the trade progressed.
I also have the journal if you need that....

Sure hope you can solve this.....whip

Hi Steve,
I'm well into another backtest and the bot has taken another L2 trade that I'm letting run....It lists it as a buy in the results but shows it on the chart as a red arrow (sell) And it is giving constant OrderModify error 1's....Any chance you could check this out....

I am fed up with this. You all need to go back to the pre-hedging version; that one appears to work.

If you need hedging here, use mptm.
