I just got done re-reading this thread and you both seem to have an excellent grasp of this ea and have made great contributions to this thread

I have a few questions.

Pipstrumpf are you still using the EA in the 1st post with the set file you posted on 10-16. I've been back testing it and it works very well. Just wondering if you've made any updates

Whip I saw where you are using this set up with MPTM

Please do not use this on live accounts until it has proven to work, or at least to do no harm.

I have added TB's hedging. It should be ok, but ftlr doesn't appear to backtest, so I cannot check the code.

Yes as per set file still running and adding pips to my account. I must say at first I thought that this bot will be prefect for ranging pairs and pairs with big swings.
Having said above on trending pairs with no major retrace the bot runs large DD, definetly need the crystalball indi attached to the bot.

Thank you for working overtime, will test this one out and hopefully I can get off the screen as I don't need to hedge manually anymore those crazy EUR/USD swings .

been playing with it your set file today the GJ with a pendingpipsdistance of 9 on a H4 has worked very well for me. Will be checking other pairs. Will throw this up on a penny acct I have Monday see what happens

Have backtested the new bot with the hedging function on, but left other settings as per my set file (see few earlier post).

EUR/USD on 4hrs time frame form 3/11/2010 - 3/12/2010:

Once hedging started the bot generated nonstop modify type orders for No.5,6,7 and 8 (375000 lines on the tester window).

Is anybody else getting so many modify orders?

I did too but didn't want to post the problem because I don't have that much experience with the bot.Wasn't sure if it was me or not

. It just stalls with endless errors in the journal

Thanks for that.

In copying the hedging code, I forgot a lot of stuff that needed adding to other functions as well.

The attached fixes a lot of these omissions.

Have tried it again but still get a lots of modify orders as previous (stopped the bot at line 145000, Intel core 2 duo struggling) .
I will try tomorrow again just to make sure I did not miss something, having said that if anybody else could give it a go that would be much appreciated.

I found another bit of code I can add when there is a hedge open. I am not certain that this will solve the problem but it should; there are only 2 OrderModify calls in the program, so it should not be so difficult to pin this down. The little bugs are often the toughest to crack.

I'm still loading parts but should be ready at Market Open.....Chicken Houses are setup and ready for baby chicks in about 12 hours...Outside air temp should be around 20 degrees F and Inside of Chicken houses (I hope) should be around 85 to 90 degrees F and this bot will be perfect....

Had a good start here so far...On D1 charts, so watching a forward test is alot like watching paint dry....Clean journal though....need to see a trade and then get some sleep...

You are in America i believe. Does this bot and the beast work with American brokers. I don't think they do just checking Also I ask a few post back what ea and set you where using if it was the set up of 3 ea's that you post a couple of weeks ago

Hi DC,
Got my baby chicks in so I'm free for a couple of hours......
Yes I am a US citizen but I do not use US based brokers and as far as I know hedging or any form of it can't be used...FTLR and Beast both hedge and any form of FTLR that I run or have run will have hedging used.
I have run that 3 EA setup on a live acc but it proved to be a little to exciting so to speak.....running it overnight was out.
The bot I have on my live acc is a hedger also and it also uses MPTM and is posted on the thread around the end of August....
Hope I answered everything....If not fire back.....
