The ellipses are fine. It's just the fib arcs that are the problem.

Well, the ellipses are just two arcs together so that should be okay to work with I guess. What I like about this is that once you have them drawn in from your swing of choice, the lines are there ahead of price action, so you have time points (not just price points) when you can expect something to happen (if the ellipses are properly tuned to price).

came in londong session bought 1.3225 and sclaed 1.3232, now holding toward 1.3270 and possible 1.3300

I look at TICK VOLUME indicator on 1hour and watch pricelevels
kind of try and judge if we will break or reverse..

I also use daily range... EUR has approx .0150 pips daily...
so adding that low of today, sort of the baseline, we get a value of 1.3345-1.3355. that should mark the top for today, thats for an upday..if price above pivotal.
if we are below pivotal area,, I would do same calc
on the down side.. it's simply taking the current high - .0150 = ?????

another trick I use to know where market will close
if up day, and price already marked 75% of daily range ..say .0150
it is easy to know where the market will close for the day... usually in the upper part of the last 25% ...

Knowing that... the market will close on above certain price level.. can you make some profitable trades based on pullbacks........ you bit.....

Time Unit

as posted before i am working on a Time unit,i started off with a 240min chart
this showed some promise,so thinking about this i have decided to get the swing highs and lows down to the minute.

If anybody could post what time the high 1.4282 on the 4/11/10 came in at
i have 13.00

in minutes that is 17,580,so it looks like im digging deeper into higher fibonacci numbers

RE: Optical Illusions.

Not only do we have to war with the market, we must also war with ourselves. Here is the definition from the Wikipedia link above that I think applies to our trading experience the most:

"...cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences". The word "unconscious" here explains why it is possible to see an ideal setup and click in the opposite direction. Happened more in my earlier days of FX. Need to look into ways to guard against those.

without constructing the squares a timing line of 45 degree can be constructed
