Hi, every one, am a VSA pupil, still in my early stage of learning. Can some one pls analyse USD/Jpy pair, especially on Daily. there is an Abnormal Volume spike that portends a big downmove. Is somebody distributing something?. looking for a convenient position to short. How should I expect this to play out?

As far as I know, fxdd uses US close as the end of daily trading session. It's quite good for daily vsa analysis.

This is not always true although it did work out in this case. Careful with that analogy.

Lack of demand is a signal that professional money is not intrested higher prices.

Either the img was too big or the file size was too big. FF changes them too JPG as default in these cases. Make sure your PNG file size is less than 976 kb and the IMG size is less than 1500 x 1500 pixels. That should do the trick.

I took a quick look back, and it seems your Sept 16 chart was the last crisp one, presumably PNG; I've been posting PNGs with success still.
Could windows or your screencap software be the culprit? I usually use the 'save as...' to specify how I want to save the screenshot ... windows can be problematic because of hiding extension filenames - it's easy to run into the issue of purposefully calling something picture.png but windows or your screencap software attaches & calls it picture.png.jpg, and doesn't let you see it, unless you know how to turn...

Thanks Beljevina & Intel.

Good you pointed out it happened after 16-Sep.

Hmm, what happened since then ?

My notebook 15.4" keep hanging and stop.
Then start to use a Netbook with very small 10" screen, so got a Samsung 23' LED screen.
New Big Screen is the culprit for PNG.
Netbook is the culprit for less trading and posting as it keep hanging when open MT4.

I been using Techsmith's Jing even on the old notebook, so that should not be the issue.

Now, the new PNG files size is still small around 112kb, but due to Screen, the dimension of those PNG has changed from 1051x578(old) to 1723x854.

OK dimension is the factor. How do I control this dimension to make it smaller easily without changing back to smaller screen?

Perhaps need a good shareware to control the dimensions ?
Can Fastone Capture or Windows Paint do this ?

Thanks,
FB.

Very bearish engulfing on monthly but not thinking that far out , just session by session

I have been trying to guess the markets as not had alot of time to trade and focus on fx. Cost me 160 pip ... 2 x stop out in a row. Worst week in a while. Made a little back on the long off 1.3590 today but was hoping for a better move up then the waffle we have had last 24 hours

MS Paint can do it and I'll bet Fastone can also but, when you resize imgs they lose some of the clarity (not much, but some). It's for this reason that I choose not to resize but to crop the chart instead. As Bel pointed out, my charts all show a cropped chart. I can take you through how to setup MS paint to do this for you. But it may be worth your while trying out Fastone to see if you like it. It does sound quite good and may be easier for you. It will almost certainly be more comprehensive than using windows.

You're right I do have to cut the size of the window but all I do is set the 'Restore Down' size of the window so that when I click the center of the 3 boxes in the top right corner of the window, it reduces to 1500 pixels. I have to do this because my laptop screen resolution is 1920 x 1080. As an img this is too big for a PNG on FF. There is no other reason for doing this.

So once the chart has been annotated I do the following:-

Click 'Restore'
Press 'Alt'+'PrtSc'
Press button to launch MS Paint
Press 'Ctrl+V'
Press 'Alt+F4'
Type...

What I do for MT4:
Right click on the chart -> Save as picture... -> Save active chart (as is) and save it as .bmp
Open the .bmp in Paint and do any editing and then save it as a .png

Just some weekly EU chart with s/r levels. We can see that the pullback/reversal or however you call it happened at a previous s/r level and price is currently in between s/r levels. If we close above, then there are a lot of s/r levels all the way from 1.38 to 1.41. I'll be more observing than trading until there is a clear direction. I can't tell if that drop was a huge shake-out or not.

What I can see, however, is that EU has broken through 2 s/r (intraday) levels and will be dealing with more today. There is some pressure at 1.37 now so might be good for hit and run shorts. It has been a very slow and calm move up with consistent breakouts and tests of the breakout. For that reason I'm still bullish. Oh, and Bernanke speaking today. Means USD will take a major beating.
