I was stopped out of this trade -56pips. A fine example of what happens when you dont follow your own system rules.

I like the term I believe van tharp said

trading is about thinking in probabilities.......

or even better statistics.......

I use my own method which I saw something happen so many times out of ten so many out of 100 so many out of 1000

then saw the r/r of these scenarios

my method is quite accurate but not always tradable


the r/r may not be right or it may be just a little off to produce anything tangible

I feel if something happens a lot of the time there is something of interest and possibly a higher probability trade

even if there are tons of losses this is part of the method as it happens to win more often than the losses

I look to see where the losses occurred and how the method reacted to the markets at those points and if it's something that was repeatable in the past.......

for me it's all about thinking in probabilities and statistics
