In the last 45 minutes I've had five EURAUD shorts opened, all closed after a few minutes at breakeven, strange.

I will look at the code to try to see what might have caused this.

Cheers Steve, final count was 10 trades, it seemed to be when the price revisited the trigger line. Last night I had had a USDCAD short, it opened when the price touched the top channel line and immediately retraced without re-touching the line, closed this morning at the correct place for +42pips.

Yes, on demo and it is quietly taking pips. It is not a trading tart but is doing well.

There is a bug to find that plateman reported.

Looking back at history it show that by just taking these, you can be a safe profitable trader.

This is very true..and so many of our trades have the double set-ups.

Hi Steve

the above observation by Bl888 posted in LW thread is quite correct. Is there anyway we can have the BO and the 3 tap in SHI EA combined?

Kind Regards

Maybe. I have not been keeping up with the thread, so can you explain, "....a BO that is also confirmed by a 3 tap".

I do beg your pardon Steve, it was very vague. Recently Law Girl added a Break Out Strategy to her method as well. In page one post 1 she has added the following strategy:
"The H1 4 Candle Breakout Trade

I have added a new trade set-up to the 3 tap trade discussed above. It works hand and hand with the 3 tap trade.

Often we can see PA going in one direction and want to get in, but need a logical way to do it. Certainly 3 tap is one way, but what if you do not see a good 3 tap set-up on the H4 chart? Then move to the H1 chart and take a look.

The H1 4 candle breakout set-up:

1. Find the directional bias on weekly, daily, H4. All must match at the time of set-up.

2. You will be looking at the bodies of the first four H1 candles of a new trading day...disregard the tails (wicks)....whenever that is for you. That is one reason period seperators need to be placed on the chart.

2. Place horizontal lines at the highest high of these four candles' bodies (not including the tails, if any) and the lowest low of these four candles' bodies, again, disregard the tails. These lines are really just R/S lines.

3. Wait for a breakout in the direction of the bias. I often place a pending order below/above a R/S line before I go to bed.

NOTE: You can set this up several hours after the fourth candle that you are observing. For example: My first four candles are from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. I may not get to the set-up until 8 or 9 p.m. That is ok, in fact, that gives time to observe PA. Do verify the directional bias again, however.

This is a link of page 69 for charts posted by LawGirl. I hope this helps.

Steve,

As a direct result of working with Squalou on another thread and searching for a better way to determine price direction, trend and strength of the impending move of the PA and so forth I found this indicator which appears to be far superior to the Shi-LRC.

I have added the indicator to your chart produced by the EA and you can see that this shows direction at the reversals much quicker. I use three of these set at different input values on my charts. The one shown is the 2 1/2 day trend.

The semafors shown repaint but all repaints are shown and are not erased. These are used along with everything else for the strength of move value on the chart. The only thing I need to add is a value for channel slope which I've already have on my version of the Shi.

The Magenta line is another Regression Indicator sort of like a over sold and over bought middle line.

The yellow numbers are the strength of move values which can be used as a multiple in determining the number of contracts. A value of 560 for example could be assessed as 6 or .6 contracts if rounding up.

I believe this would eliminate the times where the PA never makes it to the middle or to the other side of the channel. This can occur quite often as you know and especially if the PA is somewhere in the middle of the channel when a market open occurs or braking news changes the PA direction. You use to be able to bank on the completion of the move by the PA but times are changing.

Trade well,

Johnny

Guys,

I'm trading this EA for a three weeks on demo.

I found Lawgirl's beastie EA very profitable, sending trades rarely - 3,4 times a week on 7 main pairs - but all are winning trades.

When I doubled the pairs it started trading more often and still all trades are 100% profitable.....

but... I spot out one mistake,

The EA is trading only longs and even when there are a condictions to trade short its still trading long which may be small mistake in the code.

Could someone try to fix this please?

It can make this EA very, very good for further testing.

thanks a lot

Ok, I think I got it.

There was no mistake in the code.

It might be that the EA is looking first at Chanell trend lines and if price is bouncing from the top line its selling even if all three RSI's are not trending down at the same time - thats my suspicious.

I think I will try to change chanell trend lines set up to higher time frame and see whats happening.

Update soon.

in backtest "Lawgirl's Tame Beastie" seems to only place and close one trade then stops, anyone else have this issue?
