hello traders,

efficency trading is the most traders dream. i will show you how this work.

i'll explain it here in this thread because nanningbobs system V6 will be a very simple system to apply this efficency trading method.

there are two stages you use.

1. Multitimeframe-Trading
2. Market-Participation

it is more a position-management than a trading system cause you could use it with almost all systems. it will also work if you take random orders with a coin toss and you will be profitable at the end. it is nothing new in the trading business, but some forgot them.

1. Multitimeframe-Trading

NanningBob V6 system here is usual trading at 4hour or 1 hour chart you know. that's ok. remember the rules for entry (only explain long orders. Short is the same but vice versa):

1. Wait until price closes below TMA outerband.
2. Entry at crossing UP of black MA with blue MA AND
3. RWB is under 15%. (in most cases)


Example first Picture:

You'll see a long trade example with entry @1.37711 and SL @1.36970 thats about 70 Pips.

If you see the first close of a 4 hour candle below the TMA you could switch to 5 min timeframe for a very better entry.
i'll show you the differences in an 1hour, 15min and in the 5min timeframe and why this is more efficient.
the filled blue rectangle shows the 4 hour candle and i open a trade only if the black MA crosses the red MA (3x2 High LWMA)

1hour chart:

if you compare the entries at every chart you will recognize that in the 5 min chart you'll have a very much fewer SL-Risk for a possible upmove. Only about 21 Pips risk for a possible 100, 200, 300... run. that's amazing.

and this is not cherry picking. exit for a single trade could be the other side of TMA bandin 4 hour chart. at this example the price touches upper TMA band @1.40299 in the 4 hour-chart.

311 Pips gain with 21 Pips risk. this is a Risk:Reward of 1:14.55

to protect your position you could move SL to BE at the other side of TMA Band or at the middle band in the 5min chart.

2. Market-Participation

you know, every trend/sideway/correction market begins in the lowest timeframe. the tickbased Chart.

with Market-Participation i mean to trade every signal you'll get in the 5 min chart with NanningBob's V6 rules (or every other rule you're comfortable with) and let the profits run until 1 week, 1 month or 20 years later. the most important is to protect your orders and take most every entry you could. take some profits to pay your swaps and losses back. but close not every order. only the little ones. because the big orders could hold for more time.

someday you'll pick the highest high or lowest low of a year and participate of an 4000 Pip move at the end of year with 10 or more orders.

the next picture shows the same 4 hour chart with the long entry at the bottom and the time and pipspace with a blue filled rectangle.

in the next picture you'll see that in this upmove there are more 5 LONG entries you could take.

this is an unbelievable outcome. and this is possible. don't think this is unique.
a gain of about 1090 pips in two day's with one pair trading. what will you be more?

but what you have to consider is, that you will not have this result in the first day's. maybe at the beginning you could have 20, 30, 40 loosing trades until the big runner comes. could you withstand this?

in the last picture above you normaly have to take the two short entries after trade no.3 because you don't know where the market goes until you hit the button. be prepared and protect your trades.

Nicely explained Mediator. I like how you demonstrated adding to the positions, I have found that most of these types of trades have multiple rentry points at the lower time frame which makes for some very healthy profit. You do not see this on the 4H since most times it is just a one of entry.

The approach is interesting, but there's something a little off about it. In the first post, he puts the risk:reward at 1:14 or thereabouts. In the last post he comments that you might have to wait 20, 30 or 40 trades to get the big runner. If you did have to wait that long, it sounds like you would end up a net loser.

But the 20-40 numbers were just mentioned out of hand. This idea might work, but neither these examples, nor the one week experience he's had with it, is enough to prove it. It's clear that this approach is very, very different from the NB approach, at least in regard to winners and losers. The NB approach gets a high winning percentage with relatively small winners, and an infrequent but very large loss.

This flips that approach on its head: it will take lots and lots of little losses but sometimes hit a grand slam. It might be viable. It certainly works off one of the same edges as Bob's system. I'd be interested in seeing if anyone wants to test it. (I have no clue about how one would go about writing an EA for the entries.)

hello duffypratt,

first thank you for your interest. what i mean with 20-40 trades was, that it could easely take 20-40 attempts to have a couple of runners. not every 4 hour swing between the TMA band is a grand slam.

very important is to protect the orders with setting the SL to BE. not to early and not to late.

this kind of trades are very often. the last big run happens from 20th august until 14th oktober with a distance of about 1550 Pips.

with a single trade and an approx. SL of 20 Pips would be a RR 1:77. a lot attempts to fail until you are in the run.

and if you count all the tradeentries between the run you could have there is an exponetial growth in profit with a linear loss of ~20 Pip per trade.

take only 10 entries in this time which are survive. this are approximatly 10.000 Pips and i count only entries in the 1 hour chart. yes you have losses in between and some BE-Trades. this is important with this method. to have razorsharp entries. your losses should not exceed 20 pips per trade. now you can calculate how many attempts you have to get 10 trades which survives the long run.

this method i trade for a long time. i'm new to this forum, but not new with trading forex. the time has come for me to give all my experience away. it's called karma.

this is the NanningBob V6.
the black line is a 1 MA, Median Price(Linear Weighted)
the red line is a 3 MA Shift 2, High Price(Linear Weighted)
the blue line is a 3 MA Shift 2, Low Price(Linear Weighted)

for myself i use the H1/M5 Charts. But it doesnt matter what timeframes you take. For MTF Trading you need a higher TF greater/equal than 1H. this is the timeframe i use for first Signal and Exit.

the lower TF i use for entry and reentry until the target is met in the higher TF.

But you could also use Daily/Weekly/Monthly for targeting. it depends how long you would hold your positions.

it depends, what time you have for trading. if you have fulltimejob you could take daily or weekly for targeting and 1hour or 4hour for entry.

if you have alot of screentime you could use 5m for entries and 1hour or 4hour chart for targeting.

to be most efficience you take 5min for entry and exit and a yearly chart for targeting ;-)

with my examplas i only tried to explain the technics behind Multitimeframe-Technic and why reentries will give you great outcome.

the pros of Recovery is that you average you entry.
the cons are you soft-martingale your positions and the losses are exponential and the gains linear.

the pros of reentry technic is exponential gains and linear loss, because you pyramide the positions.
the cons are with every new position the Breakeven trails. but you protect your positions early to move SL to BE. so it doesn't matter if price returns.

"another good reason to take two TMA's in one chart is, because you see in the picture is, that the yellow TMA band is movin' up and down with the red TMA band. this means that the yellow band shows the extreme price deviation from the red middle line. there you could have good entries if and only if price breaks out of the yellow outer band and the yellow upper/lower band is outside the red upper/lower band."

Page 1 Post 1 has the paperwork on the 2.4.2 recovery system. Just change the numbers to 1.1.3 instead. Same philosophy but lower DD.
