Your questions:
1) We still do not have the answer as to the entry. Do we wait for the 2nd candle to close and with same colour. If this be the case then how did you take the short entry for EG.
2) Unless I am mistaken we are supposed to trade away from the 233 EMA. In the EG Trade it seems that we are trading towards the 233EMA. What made you take this trade.
3) I am attaching the chart as I see on my Laptop. Not sure how you are 130 pips in profits after short entry at 0.8745.
4) Can you also explain why No short trade was taken on 18/10. The 2nd candle was red, SS pointing down and TDI crossed going down and opening up.
1. Enter at the BEGINNING of candle 2. 2. Safest to trade away from the 233 when your new... its the safe way. However I have over 2 years experience with that method so experience makes the difference in this case. 3. My trade was with 5 full lots. Each pip it moved was worth 5 pips to me in profit... 4. What is 18/10? If that is a date... I wasn''t looking at the chart then.
Big E talked about 2 setups but his charts either show the 5 or the 21 / 233 ma's....so not sure why you wouldn't put them all on one chart.
See Post #2643. He says that he runs through the charts w/ the 21 / 233 template then goes through the same charts with the other template.
From what I can tell the overall trading approach is the same regardless if you use the 5 or 21 ma so I'm just wondering if I'm missing a nuance to all of this.
I have contacted Lenny and he has agreed to allow me to pass on Skype contact names to him of people who have been trying to join the Skype rooms.
There are currently 2 Skype rooms, one of them has 116 people in it right now, the other one only 48. I believe the official max room size is 150 people, but I have heard of 200 people fitting into 1 room.
At any rate, please post here your Skype handle if you would like to be added to these rooms and I will pass them onto Lenny.
Got all the PM requests to be added to the Skype rooms. Please know that in order to be added to rooms, you will first have to allow Lenny (HawkeyeFx) to add you as a Skype contact, then he can add you to the rooms.
Hi eelfranz. I have copied and printed all posts re the 5 and 21 method. Questions
1-Do you enter the 5 and exit the 5 with the same rules as the 21? For example you say ""wait for pa to cross back over 21 ...before exiting" for the 5 method is the rule the "wait for pa to cross back over the 5"?
2-when you say price crosses 21, do you mean closing of candle or any cross?

David... Study old charts for the pair you like to trade and watch how the PA moves in the 21/233 or 5 method.
You should exit if a candle crosses the line and closes accross that line. Yes. When entering a trade... first candle across the line is the set up candle and the second is the entry candle if its the same color. Using HA candles is important... normal move is 3-8 candles with HA.

Anyone wanting HA candles like mine... go to www.compassfx.com and download the Synergy method and put it into your templates. Anytime in the future when you want to build a chart... just bring it up on a new chart... remove the two moving averages by the PA and you have it. Add what else you want on the chart and go back to the templates and click on it... then click SAVE AS and give your new template a name and... now its in your template list... Big E
EEL, just entered the 5 min 5 method long, 2 candles ago, and exited for loss as tdi just crossed down. Does this look like a good entry to you? Had candle close above the 5, tdi had crossed up, stoch conf, and away from 233. Agree? Dont care about the loss, just trying to confirm entry. Thankx

David.... 1. I'm and experienced trader. 2. I use the TDI for entry confirmation...99%, Exit... 1 % 3. Once I'm in the tade what you watch is PA and not the TDI. 4. When PA crossed back over and closed the 21ema... it was time to exit.
