Hi Eaty,

Will it be possible to mod your indicator Pj-over RSI.mq4 to input the time frame we want??

I would like test whether using 3 differnent time frame on one chart e.g 5m, 15m & 30m will it made a difference using RSI (7-14-21-28) setting.

Tks.

It is not my indicator. I get it from FF.

Hi draco,
using a RSI (7-14-21-28) already give you multiple timeframes

On the 15 minute chart:
RSI 7 is RSI 7
RSI 14 is the RSI 7 on the 30 minute chart
RSI 21 is the RSI 7 on the 45 minute chart which Metatrader does not have &
RSI 28 is the RSI 7 on the 1hr chart.

When you need to use MTF Indicators, on lower TF you Multiply the indicator by the amount that the TF is less.

ie. to get a 5 EMA from the 1hr chart on a 15 minute chart you need to use a 20 EMA (5x4). This is more or less how it works.

Like everyone out there I had to play with this a little. I put a 7,14,21,28 rsi on my chart and I like the way it works on a five minute chart. It works between 6am eastern and 10am eastern. Start at 6 and when you get 50 pips or whatever is your limit [fishing for pips] go do whatever else you like. Like living. I have a 14 and a 21 ma and a moving average crossover alarm at 3/34. I have a simulator that I use to help, and the fact that these don't repaint makes it great. Here is a chart.

Hello Ayseaf,

Can you please explain how this works? Can you also give me some tips on how to make more profit than losses, I am very new in the game and I'm anxious to learn fast.

Thanks

Happened to this thread..this is just the right kind of setup..moving in the right direction.

Get a 5 min "signal" confirm the trend agrees on M15, then go to
M1 for correct entry. Seems this could be tweaked pretty
easily to the next level.

Anyone still around and interested?

On the 15 min chart is the trend of the Hull Moving (21) bearish (red) but all the RSI (7-14-21-28) are green.

On the 5 min chart is the trend of the Hull Moving (21) bullish (green). All the RSI (7-14-21-28) are green. The green candle appears after a retracement.

Hi Brian, I found it because you posted. Strange that it just stopped. Maybe eaty and/or some of the others will return if we post for a while.

I am testing another system right now but I will set this up in my spare time.

ek24, haven't heard from you in a while. Any update on your EA for the original strategy? I'm still trading it manually, because the last one wouldn't open trades for me.

Does anyone know of a script that lets you enter 'buy-stop' and 'sell-stop' orders with preset T/Ps and S/Ls? That would make trading this system manually a lot easier.

I think we can filter some false signals with stochastic. Here some examples. May be somebody can code this...

Congratulations, the idea of using pj-overRSI period 21 and 50 is brilliant! With some additional filters it is tradeable at professional level with hit rate around 90 %. Not often have I found so good ideas in FF.
Cheers!

Look at the 'easy' EA thread under commercial 'evaluating' it sounds like what you are looking for.

No system that is posted in a public forum works exactly as it is put. But many ideas work perfectly with some adjustments that are - of course - up to any trader's taste and choice.
If you read carefully my last post then you see that I was speaking about 90 % hit rate.
