Nanningbob 4h trading system ver. 5.0

I've been keeping the rwb on my charts, and using the RSI as well. Basically, I will put on the EA when RSI is outside either 85/15 and the white and blue are as well. The Red MACD line is not as important for me. And I use RSI (and the others) to look for divergences.

I really love this indicator. Is anyone using it with Oanda? I just cant figure out the settings.

MACD signal line normal settings
Sto Oscillator 7,3,3 close close linear weighted
Sto Oscillator 14,5,3 close close linear weighted

put Macd on your screen and then drag each sto one by one onto the MACD indicator window. This puts them inside of the MACD. Choose your colors and Sto dotted lines and away you go.

You sure deserve a big applaude Nanningbob. I started live trading your system on Oct 14th, my account already grew by %1.61. Thats 372 pips in total. I know 372 pips should gain me more in growth but i am keeping my units low at this moment.

As with most systems the entries are clearly defined ( albeit a little discretion always helps ..... or hinders ! ) it is the exits that are more difficult I find
So can you please confirm how you are currently dealing with the exits .... ie, do you set targets based on TMA lines ( mid or opposite outer ) use the MPTM breakeven and / or jumpstop and if so at what settings, or some other method ?

Well I was going to wait another day but so far I am 27-6 with a 9.6% increase in my account in 2 weeks. I will take it. My DD has been much lower than the 5.0 version and my TP have been higher. After two weeks I have not noticed any movement in the TMA lines on a 4 H chart. At this point I could care less if the lines from two weeks have moved a little. Does not affect the trading. I am also getting more trades using the TMA lines everyday but that is because I will take some trades that are in the middle of the screen more. I am also finding out if the trade doesnt develop in the first 24 or 48 hours to just drop it and go on. The trades that are more than 48 hours long are giving me the most trouble and they are the ones I tried to enter off of the 1H chart and some of them it was just too early. The ones I entered on the 1H chart and developed right away were very nice trades but if they didnt do that they weren't worth hanging on to. So even though my win ratio is just under 80% I am beginning to take trades out if by 48 hours they have not gone anywhere and then reenter later if it gives a new signal.

What version of TMA are u using? TMA centered or TMA true?

Nanningbob,can you share your current template and set of indis for 6.0 in one post?I'm sure many of users will appreciate it.

It is the same one I posted on OCT. 15. The only thing I have changed is I use MPTM 40+30 instead of the 30+15. I use the 3x2 cross, same EAs. I have added a second one by changing the MAGIC number for divergence trades but it is the same EA as those but only changed the magic number.

I guess the only change I have made is to add the RWB lines back in so here is the template with the RWB lines back in. I have tested some other ideas and mentioned but I have not changed my basic system I posted. I will post a complete system when I am satisfied but right now what I have posted seems to do the best.

Me back = did more due diligence and now I'm also testing 6.0... (Nice system Nanningbob )... Anyhow - one thing that puzzles me is WHICH pairs to look at and when... But you mention about 19 pairs - do you mind a list - just to compare to what I have over here?

Also - in a somewhat little off topic: I've got some indicators that I will like to learn how to program/code a small EA or robot so that the mt4 platform can take a trade once certain conditions are met for the indicators. I know it can be done because it is some what or exactly what the v6.0 is doing when it takes the order on the mt4 automatically. Where can I start learning how to program such EA or robot?

from your template i see that you are using TMA Centered, but this indicator isn't repainting?? I'm using TMA and 5M time frame for testing. Is TMA true a good indicator?

Have you been in contact with Steve to see if he is working on fully functional v6 EA?

It's not mechanical enough to be truly fully automated in my opinion. I'll take or skip a trade many times that a bot would not trade the same way.

I'll list the pairs when I get home. At vet right now. Someone left me a mastiff last night.

ok. I have had a few people ask how to get text sent to your phone to make you life easier. here is an ea that will send you a text/email when a trade is opened and/or closed. it will tell you how many pips you made/lost and your balance and equity at closing of that trade. very useful to alert you that you entered the trade now its time to start paying attention. i may have posted it here already but ill do it again.

The TMA has a setting in it already to send email alerts. set this to true and it will email/text you when price exceeds upper or lower band. then you will know to bring up chart and see if its trading time. also VERY USEFUL to me anyway.

ok here is how to do the ea and the tma. in your mt4... go to tools>options>email then set up your email or phone number info. you must know what your SMPT server is. to find this out just goole SMPT server to whatever email service you have. should be easy to find. then under SMPT login: your email address.. then SMPT password: your email password..... from: your email address or what your account is called or whatever you want to say its from... then here is where you can have it either sent to your email or phone... depends on how you set it up. to have it emailed to you type in your email address here. to have it sent to you as a text, you must know your phone's email address. I had to call AT&T to find out but you may can goolgle your phone provider and find out that way. it should be your phonenumber@txt.??????? see pic below If you have an aol account and you are with AT&T you are in luck as you can see how to do it from the pic below

make sure to click on enable. then when you fill in all the fields click on test. then ok. it will send it to the journal. check this tab to see if there are any errors or it will say message sent. check your email if you set it up that way. if you set it to text you, check your phone.

if you want to use the ea im posting just set up as above and open new chart - any chart any tf. it will send alerts when any trade is opened or closed doesn't matter what pair. it will send for every pair no matter what chart you put it on

What i do is i set up a template that just has all our indis on it with TMA email alert on Named 6.0 Blank. then i make a template with the buy ea on it with TMA email alert on named 6.0 Buy and same as sell but guess what its named...

then if i know im in a sell trade and i get a text that says tma exceeded lower limit i know im in DD and should take a closer look to see whats going on....

but thats just me

im still after a screen capture ea that will take a snapshot of the chart when a trade is entered and/or closed if anyone happens to know of one.

just a note for the non-believers.... im up 680 pips since 10/13/10 or 5% and thats trading less than the penny for every $100 as suggested by BOB.

I don't know about yall but ill take 5% in half a month for the rest of my life.

and this is trading based on TMA alone. no other filters or indi or trends or anything. TMA only!!

so if you undecided on whether you should give this system a shot or not.... do you self a favor and start studying and demoing right NOW!

i have a question about MPTM

On just about every trade it works perfectly. however on two trades i went up some 80 or so pips and i got the alert that stop wasnt moved error 101? i think then beside that it said no error. but the stop was never moved. the breakeven was never set right and i guess because of this the jump stop never worked either.

only happened twice but still....?? any ideas? anyone....

BOB are you in the AUDNZD trade? if so are you thinking about turning on ea again as a re-entry or are you gonna do more of a 200 pip generic re-entry? right now its only down 75-80 pips but looks prime for re-entry TMA and RWB look good...

would like your thoughts
