I just picked a Euro win and last night I got some AU/USD pips.

I changed my strategy a bit, I now only place 3 orders per currency at the current 1.**00 and one above and one below. I am doing this on 5 pairs ATM so I can get more action. Eur/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/JPY and USD/CHF

pl explain this with a example, its confusing

thanks

This is a good point. Also it might automatically address those pairs where the price range is reduced, such as $/Y.

I think you mean from Sunday 23:00 GMT, Monday 11:00 GMT is nearly lunch time half way through the London session.

I'm not sure, I used this site and thought Wellington was GMT http://www.2010.worldmarkethours.com/Forex/index.htm, basically start trading 1hr after the market opens and stop 2hrs before the market closes.

I just realized a pattern, I have orders set for 5 pairs, I set them up so there is only margin enough for 1 trade at a time and any other orders during that trade would be rejected and this has happened several times and every time it was a bad trade that was rejected. It seems that during the big moves the first to hit the entry point is the strongest trade, at least for now.
Current record 21wins/7 losses.

Sorry for my English, yeah Jaws, i intended from Sunday to Friday.

The EA can actually be used in all time frame and for all couple.

If you insert the EA in an MT4 window for different couples you'll see it changing the prices according to the couple represented in the window (you'll see all the prices in the upper left corner).

Try putting the EA in a EUR/JPY and you'll see it changing the prices following the adoptet couple.

I tried it with Alpary UK 5 digits and it works fine.
It should work also in a 4 digit broker but i didn't try yet.

At the moment the strategy is to open a buy order at the Prezzo_per_Buy
if in the passed bars it get a xxx50 before of an xxx00.

I find that it works better if you change the default setting to 80 and 20 letting TP 15 and SL 35 (backtesting all this year) but almost going tie.

Jaws let me know how you change your strategy so to update the EA.

Bye all,
Ek24

Please let me the know EA setting and the period you so i'll try to replicate the order.

In the setting you can change the entry for buy and for sell changing
Prezzo_per_Buy and Prezzo_per_Sell.

About the stop loss i remember you that it puts different stop loss for the broker (SL +20 and TP+10) when sending order to the broker, but effectively closing automatically the orders at SL and TP.

Bye

For the time you must specify GMT Time and not local Time. The mt4 language use this time, and cause i'm italian, please write me down the GMT time conversion.
No indicators using the volume are really effective in the Forex Trading as the volume are always referred to the broker and not to all the market, causing them to be unuseful.
I was thinking about ATR, that is the Average of the difference between High and Low of the n previous bar, but if you say no indicators then no indicators.

IF the price is at 1.3650, I'd place orders at 1.3685, 1.3610, and either 1.3700 or 1.3500 depending on the direction of the last trade if the last price hit was 1.3700 before coming down I'd place the 3rd order at 1.3500 if it was coming from 1.3600i'd place the last order at 1.3800. The reason to place the order with the trend is in case of a big move while I'm away from my computer.

I'm doing basically the same thing I've been doing across 5 pairs, but I set every order to use max available margin, so as soon as one trade is entered the rest will be useless because there will be no margin left to trade. Hope that helps.

This is not exactly in the spirit of jaws's thread, but there is a classical setup imminent. When EU closes below 1.3700 it will complete a double-top with the centre point being midnight on 19th/20th October.

It would be nice if this occurred at the end of this hour (seems unlikely at the moment with three major pairs rising) or at midnight tonight because that corresponds with 1hr and 4hr candles which match the centre point.

Anybody who plays these setups might want to leave their shorts in a bit longer. Me? I shall just watch.......

Pls note: times are GMT

Hello,

I just found this thread today and read through it entirely. Then, before EK24 posted the EA, I was looking at how to automatically compute all the buy and sell prices in this strategy. I came up with the attached spreadsheet. It'll soon be unnecessary, but if anyone is interested, here it is. I put in 2 sets of calculations - one for JPY pairs (3 decimal places) and the other for everything else (5 decimal places). It'll work the same if you only need 2 or 4 decimal places. Enjoy and happy trading.

pl provide the source code, not the compiled code

there are some bugs, others can fix

i loaded this EA with default values. but the SL, TP are wrong

2010.10.28 07:32:46 Scalper Dream GBPUSD,M15: open #35789624 buy 0.10 GBPUSD at 1.57859 sl: 1.57309 tp: 1.58109 ok

2010.10.28 07:41:51 Scalper Dream NZDUSD,H4: open #35790025 buy 0.10 NZDUSD at 0.74853 sl: 0.74303 tp: 0.75103 ok

entry is correct. but the tp is 25 but it should be 15. sl is 65, it should be 35

hi EK24,

i saw the code posted by you

SL=Ask-((Stop_Loss+20)/Moltiplicatore);
TP=Ask+((Take_Profit+10)/Moltiplicatore);

why are you adding 20 to SL and 10 to TP ? Thats why the sl, tp are wrong
