How to display certain EA data on Chart?

Hi,

How can I display certain EA data such as variable or flag status on the top left hand corner of the chart?

I would like those data to be updated each tick, and to be removed when I remove the EA from the chart.

For example: I would like to display this on the top left hand corner:

Lot Size: 3
Heiken Ashi Red = True

How can I do that?

Quick'n'dirty way is to use Comment("string"), but comments are restricted to the top left corner, you can't change their font/size/color, and you have to toggle between TFs to clear them from the chart. Note how in the example in the link, they use "\n" to start a new line.

Alternatively, you could use a series of text or text-label objects:

ObjectCreate(objectname, OBJ_TEXT, .....)
creates an object that is fixed at a price and time, and hence moves with the chart.

ObjectCreate(objectname, OBJ_LABEL, ....)
ObjectSet(objectname, OBJPROP_XDISTANCE, x-value)
ObjectSet(objectname, OBJPROP_YDISTANCE, y-value)
creates an object at a fixed position (x-value = horizontal coord; y-value = vertical coord) on the screen.

In both cases, you set up text, font, etc:
ObjectSetText(objectname, text, fontsize, fontname, fontcolor)

where text is the text string that you want displayed:

To remove objects when the indy/EA is removed from the chart, place
ObjectDelete(objectname)
for each object, inside the deinit() function

If I want to remove comments when I remove the EA how do I do that? Or does it remove by itself?
