glad to see you have. just for future reference, you have to bring up the navigator window and click on indicators and drag it from there to the window you want overlayed. thats the only way to do it.

My apologies - but on more question. The Sixth Indicator lines levels on your Template (Post 2934) are different from when I mannually load the Sixth Indicator 5.0 you sent in Post 2938. For example on a EURUSD 4 hour chart the top golden line is currently at 1.40117 on your template, but the same line is at 1.40457 when I manually load the Sixth Indicator. I hope I am not pushing it with my questions

hi all,
I am following nb system since system 4 and have also gone through the up downs the last month, still got some trades in dd but I have learned a lot.

And I think that we canot generate a perfect system for all markets. these band systems with rsi confirmation are just perfect when markets are ranging but when you get trends there will always be problems.

I am testing the TMA Eas for ver.6 now, thanks for this fast coding, with different crosses and TP/SLs but cant get a good equity curve in trending markets, too many SLs.

I will manualy try to filter those trends with a flat MA and use TMA or the old and good 6th Indi with RSI. For Example look at aud/jpy today or the last 2 week, there where good trades. But if you try eur/usd with this tma you get to many SLs in the backtest in such periods to be consistent.
Perhaps we stick with ver. 5 but try to filter even more those trends and wait untill markets settle and go sideways to take our trades. I like high probability trades with low risk better than many trades with SL settings.

Also again for the 2.4.2 or 1133 recovery. I am recovering now this way, I think Bluemele is doing the same, its a little more speculative: after my first or second position, I wait for a full sixt indi and rsi signal and check which lot size I need for a 40-60 pip move. Then i wait untill market close or near ny close then I enter my position, sometimes with SL when lot size is quite high. The price often comes back at night when volume is low. then I close my position before market open, sometimes its already in tp. After the strong euro moves this was perfect to recover. Perhaps we could insert such a dynamic recovery into a indi which could calculate the lot size for a pip move to break even?

Do you have other methods for perfectioning a recovery method?

I hope I can give also something back to these great Forum.

I cleaned up me EA a little and it should be entering trades per Bob's rules.

Not sure I understand how to apply Bob's RSI rules.

After a couple weeks visually testing the NB TMA, I’m still amazed at the potential of this indy for high % profits!

Having been through the plethora of entry triggers (MA crosses, Linear Regression line, Stochs, etc), has anyone noticed how good Bob’s RSI(3) on the 4HR is?

Crossing back through 30 for a buy and back through 70 for a sell. Or the occasional spikes to the TMA where the RSI(3) is already above 30 or below 70.

IMHO, as good as any of the other triggers – especially with divergence!

Unfortunately all systems that use SL have this problem. What really made my system work really well is the recovery system instead of SL. The problem is when there are business slow downs you dont get those retraces that are vital to my system. As long as countries are trading price will bounce up and down. Whether it trends or not is irrelevant. We seem to be falling into the 2nd leg of the recession and many people, me being one, believe this recession has two legs. When business is not being conducted the chances of the long unretracing tends goes up and we saw that in Sept. How long this will go on is anybodies guess but with QE2 and country debt defaults looming I have no idea how this will affect the markets. Yes they will trend in some direction but will the retracements be there we like to rely on? These are not normal market conditions and very difficult trading times.

When testing the system, using an 80 stop loss, I would also use Bob's re-entry for recovery as the point at which I would enter a new trade after being stopped. Thus, if a trade got stopped at 80, I would wait either until the currency had dropped to 200, or until everything had settled inside the bands, before getting into another trade. That seems to limit the repeated stop loss syndrome.

I took 10 trades today made net 199 pips. I closed a couple early so I left some meat on the bone but I am ok with that.

I will post the details of the trades when I get home tonight.

Is there a way to trade this sytem without the EA for people like me who have there live accounts not on a MT4 Platform like Oanda?

Yes you can. Sometimes I do when I see that it's too late for the EA already. But you need to setup a demo account to load the indicators then you trade from what you see on your demo.

You can trade off of a warning system I will try to post it later or you can just get a simple MA cross warning system that works on your platform. You will have to find systems that work on your platform or use a MT4 demo for signals and trade on your live platform. I am interested in developing a manual trading system with this for those who only want to manual trade.

I closed 11 trades yesterday but most of them had entered last Friday. I stayed in the 3RSI divergence trades and some of them did very very well.

I set my ea's just before the London open and 1 trade opened 1 hr into the london session. I then went to bed about an hour and a half later. Which was 3:30am for me. got up at 8:30 and 3 trades had closed out. I closed 4 manually and left 3 to stew fro about 2 hours and closed them out around 11:30 my time. That is when ileft for work and posted summary of results when i had the time.

If you want I can post charts in a couple hours just let me know

No need thanks though. Yea I miss many setups for London considering it in middle of the night for me. I usually get up about an hour or two before US open and put eas on anything that's ready. If I go to bed really late I'll put eas on setups for London session and let the eas and mptm trade that session for me while I sleep. This 50:1 shit sucks!!!!! That's for sure!!!! Need to find a way around that.

Bob u gonna start fresh v 6.0 thread? Just curious.
