Hello everyone. I've been looking at the source code for this EA trying to figure out how it works (its around 1,500 lines and it's hard to reverse engineer these things). So I think I'll just ask. As far as I can see it involves looking back barCount bars , getting the highest, getting the lowest, over this period, dividing it by 6, then drawing 5 lines dividing up this zone... then... As far as I can see it places pending orders at these lines anticipating that if the prices goes through one of these lines it will continue in that direction.. Am I on the right track?
Also I have this EA running on 2 (eurusd) charts on my terminal with slightly different settings. Is this Ok or will mess them up? I notice the second window has a counter counting down to the next bar's opening time however the counter on the first window has stopped. Does this mean the EA is disabled?
Heres some of my .set files here if anyone's interested. I backtested it back to the beginning of 2010 and got some nice looking results. They're all for EURUSD H1 charts.
Also Steve, if you're reading this, your code is a little inefficient at parts. If you want I could try and make some changes to it and make it faster and more efficient. I'm running it on an i7 machine and it's still pretty slow doing the backtests. I imagine this is most frustrating for traders using laptops and slower machines. Just say the word and I'll do some work to speed it up and post it here later.
