Haven't heard much on trading results this week with this EA. Steve and Mac, are you pleased with results? I'm encouraged with my results(demo) since sunday night. I've banked almost $300 trading nickles with about $150 DD at the moment. Worst DD was about $220. I'm taking only primary trades and only one trade at a time per pair. I'm using a BE+20 at 40 pips with a jumping stop of 30. 10 pip buffer with pending trades. Are you guys getting better results with different settings? I'm tempted to allow EA to trade twice per pair to try to keep from getting bogged down with no trades(like today) once I go into DD on several trades.

It has so far banked 9% with a current float of -2.45%. I would say it is doing pretty well
Only thing I need to keep an eye on is three sell trades on AUDUSD so it should be in recovery. We'll see what will happen.

I continue to be stunned by the possibilities for profit of macman's trading strategy.
I will update properly over the weekend. In the meantime yes, I am very happy with how TB is doing. I have made a few live pips trading conservatively. On demo, trading every pair I could find except the ludicrous ones, the results have been great.

The Beast is truely in its own league.
After watchng it for a week across all ccys available via my broker i noticed a strategy that makes it even more powerful.
We all know that the primary trades are stronger than the secondary. So with this in mind i have been watching trades where:
1) Primary trades are triggered with 0.3 size
2) When price reaches a secondary level it scales into that trade with an additional 0.1 lot and banks 0.1 lot from the primary trade.
3) A stop is then placed at midpoint between primary and secondary
4) TP is the white central line.
By doing this your result would be
0.1 entered at primary - banked at secondary level
0.1 entered at primary - either banked at TP or stopped in profit at midway between primary and secondary
0.1 entered at primary - either banked at TP or stopped in profit at midway between primary and secondary
0.1 entered at secondary - either banked at TP or stopped at loss at midway between primary and secondary
Therefore: if stop hit, net would be up.
if TP hits then laughing all the way home
Before primary trade touches secondary level it is fully maintained by default risk settings within the Beast.
Whats your thoughts?

The Beast is truely in its own league....
Here and now it would call for some complicated adaptation of already-complex code for a robot that is not actually broken and therefore not needing fixing.
In my experience, the effect of locking in x pips at x pips profit is usually as effective as closing x percent of the trade at the x profit point, setting a be+ sl and allowing the rest to run. One closes a bigger trade sooner, the other leaves more on the table to be taken out by the retrace; the runner hardly ever happens.
I am not dismissing your offering - far from it. When I have the time I shall code it and see if it really does make a difference. Just for now, I am going to leave things as they are.

The design was to maximise on the oscillations which occur around the top/bottom lines - idea being that your trade size increases until eventually profit is taken. The more 'ranging' that goes on around the top/bottom lines the better.
The original design had no limit on the number of Primary & Secondary trades allowed & that is still a valid option.

Ahhh interesting indeed. Makes sense gathering the pips in those positions. Are you still testing the original bot? Hows it doing?
As you can see MPTM is smoothing the drawdown slightly as well as limiting the profit slightly.
Difficult to say which will be better in the long term ....

Another triumph for Bob's Recovery tonight - UC buys on my live account that closed out at BE + 2. There might have been a few more left on the table but I don't care; I was watching when they hit BE so I closed them whilst I had the chance.
A few months ago, the first trade would have hit a stop loss and cost me a bit. Instead, Recovery has allowed me to make 2 pips profit. The difference is huge.

The account is with IBFX and I have opened one with their Australian branch. Once the trades are closed on the US account, I shall transfer the funds and trade more pairs. What I am seeing on demo suggests that this is the way forward.
