Also...on this Sell Trade...would this be a good place to Re-enter if pa bounces off the 200 and RSI follows direction?
The indicator has an alert but it isn't that useful on the 60m time frame as it will alert at the beginning of the candle, not the close.

You could re-enter there yes but for me it's too late after the signal and price is above the Daily Pivot so I wouldn't be confident enough to take it.

Morning guys. I now have 5 positions open. I have abandoned my rule of having a max of 3 trades at once. Here's how things are looking this morning.

This is really a Bollinger Band set to 75 with 1 Deviation. We use the 200 SMA to filter trades and use it on H1.

I state this because I like its simplicity. I looked at it in backtesting today on H1 while using a 50 pip SL and the results seemed very good. No quantitative data as it was a quick backpass on 8 pairs for all of 2010.

i used 21 EMA as a re-entry. I deleted all the SL code in the indicator as someone said that the indicator was a resource...
Good job with the clean up! Can it be set to go further back now?

Thanks for the comment but your maths may need some practice.

The entry was 1.2760 and the exit was 1.3893. The profit was 1133 pips. See screen shot below for the trade I'm taking about:

nice Mr blobby Iv been an avid 5M and 15M trader for a long time but because of the stress Im looking for a good system to trade longer TFs and this systems really looks good. I,ll be monitoring it. Thanks for sharing

I understand about the stress. I came from trading 1m charts and find myself too stressed with all the noise at those low time frames. I would scalp for 12 hours straight some days. Now focusing on this 60m plan I find myself with a lot of free time to do other things.

Is anyone else in any of the trade I posted earlier? It would be good to see how you guys are finding the system.
I'm going to finish up for the day and go out with a friend. Here's how my trades are looking at this point:

Looks like an interesting system, I tried it out last night on a demo account and made 100 pips overnight.

Are there any favourite times of the day/night for entering trades, or any that you have found best to avoid?

I am currently testing on M5 for alert issues etc. The indicator goes back 5000 bars which is how many i have downloaded. I have tested with several numbers up to 5000. I can only assume that it will go back further.

I was stopped out of my cable short during the night and the other 4 positions remain as below. I slept through the new long entry on cale which is currently up 80 pips

Just want to make sure I'm set up right. For the 1 hr templet the length IS '75' correct? Your system looks VERY interesting and, like you, I have spent way too much time (and my life) monitoring 5m charts waiting for set-ups for a few pips. Thanx for sharing this!
Some may find using the colored MA's a little easier on the eyes to keep track of the MA's. I keep the 100 MA on thin, and the 200MA a little thicker with a different colored green.

75 is correct yes.

Thanks for posting this indicator! What are the settings to match the 200 SMA (apply to close)? I can't get it to match the 200SMA I have on there already.

Under 'Inputs' change the MA Period to 100 on one MA and 200 to the second one. MA 'Type' should be reset to '0'. That should be the SMA settings. It's a neat indicator which changes color with direction!
