Hi Smith, thanks for sharing your experiences. Are u with IB in the US or in Oz? I'd be interested to see their price action around your stop and limit orders. Let us know if they go stop hunting too like the others. Did u check out Dukascopy or any other ECN - like broker?

Hi there, I just went to interactivebrokers.com and did the online form, stating IM aussie citizen and funded the account in aussie dollars.

I didnt' check out dukascopy or anyone else, just have heard so much about ib, and went for them.

I can't say much about stop hunting, not long enuf with them, but from what I understand, they don't mess around like that. Any stops being hit would be from the market really moving there. Also need to use the correct order type to avoid crazy bad fills.

So my pcad trade got triggered quite a few horus ago now.

That's my only position.

Aus got stopped for b/e

Euro is approaching a long term 61.8% retrace, I'll be watchign for pa up there at around 3900, hoefully 1.4000

Nice to see charts coming. Afterall, picture is worth a thousand words. Otherwise it was just words.

Just a suggestion on lower timframes like 5 minutes: "Trade only with the trend". I know you are experienced, but this little filter would be great to your account growth.

You started new account!

Yes my 5 min habbit is bad sometimes, but I'm kind of stuck with it, because every so often, I catch a huge run, so kind of pays off long run, but I should follow that advice more often then not.

reason for this kiwi trade is close above s/r retrace to area, with
rejection off that round number/area, wasn't the greatest rejection.

About .2% on kiwi and little less on euro, just added around .25 or .3 on kiwi, just testing the waters to see if these levels are going to hold, if they do, i'll be looking to get 1-2% on, with some better pa.

I would be carefull playing touch trades with tight stops at this time of day. Good luck with the journal.

Yeah, I know your right, it's one bad habit of mine, I caught a few huge runs from them, so I'm kind of addicted.

If your catching big runners and risking minimal amounts I can see the attraction. Just giving some feedback for what it's worth

Yea, I appreciate it, one thing long term I'm trying to really do, is trading way less. Right now I can't help myself, but that is my goal, to continue to make 40-50% a year but stop being so trigger happy.

I think many of us have the same goal to be more picky in our trades. I certainly do too.

Don't let anybody rush you into taking trades in here. Do what is best for your account.
