Well, I have had enough. So, I am selling EURUSD and GBPUSD for the hell of it.

The CFNAI is a weighted average of 85 existing monthly indicators(pdf) of national economic activity. It is constructed to have an average value of zero and a standard deviation of one. Since economic activity tends toward trend growth rate over time, a positive index reading corresponds to growth above trend and a negative index reading corresponds to growth below trend.

When the CFNAI-MA3 value moves below –0.70 following a period of economic expansion, there is an increasing likelihood that a recession has begun.

Re-entering trades whose success depends on a retrace when there is no retrace happening would be idiotic.

You could still look at it just a bit differently. The NB system looks not at individual positions, but at a series of trades. Closing your positions doesn't have to end the series.

Instead you just did a hedge (although an unusual one). As with a regular hedge, you effectively froze your trade. When the signal comes for your next level, just reopen with the same position that you would have had at that level, and you are back in the system. (As an aside, I think this approach might have some implications for trading at 50:1 leverage, but I haven't thought that through yet.)

And by the way, you have now said that you are an idiot for having let these positions close, and that you would be an idiot to re-open them. I'm trying to wrap my brain around those two statements, but unlike you, I may really be an idiot.

Hehe. I have this effect on people. You should see the kids twitching and gibbering at the end of a piano lesson.

What I mean is this:

 

  1. the trades closed because the combined upl hit the shirt protection level I had mistakenly entered.
  2. the upl got to that stage because the market was moving against all the trades.
  3. therefore, to simply re-enter them immediately would be perverse. Much better to wait for new trade triggers.

let me tell you guys something REALLY FUN to do!!! first let your mt4 crash beyond repair. You know the one--- the one you applied all the templates to all the eas to all the indi to. yea that one. and oh yea don't save a profile whatever you do!!!!!!!!!!

then because your connection is sketchy at best load all the indicators eas scrips templates on your vps. that only takes about 5431 hours. then you get to apply all the indi, ea templates scripts all over again on the 597 pairs that we watch.

but just when you think you have it, ask you vps service to stop operating halfway through the transfer. this way you get to do it all again!!!!

Im still not finished. just taking a break while watching the smoke come out of the side of my computer wondering it will burst into flames at any time.

Anyone have a gun?

are these the correct conditions for the #7 sell? I loaded ti a couple of times last week but it never entered the trades.

Been trying that today, but the markets are too lazy, Looks like interesting though... I will watch that tomorrow. Do you have any exit plan? Just the opposite color crossing?
BTW and to stay in the thread, I wanted to thank you bob for the great system I've been demoing for two weeks now.
I can't believe the 1000 pips I did even with the big JPY move. With some price action I could use a more important recovery setup and I've been in profit All the time with 4% max draw down, incredible,

I am watching this one also. I was actually waiting for the price to go above the normal BB and use #2. The standard BB and the shifted BB are so close that I wonder if it makes much difference. In my chart the 1MA is still just inside the BB though. The other thing is the RWB is still pointing sharply upwards so I am going to wait a little while longer until the 1MA is outside BB. I am not an expert so this is just my amaturish opinion.

yes and BB are narrowing so this may run some more but I have to run to work and will be gone for 12 hrs. I want to be in at L2 recovery when this run is over.

Yes, I would be cautious with this as well and look at how the CAD is holding up against others as well!

I think #2 is a bit different than #7 as if the move isn't that big, then #7 will get you in a bit late possibly. (I use manual or #5 on this if I really like the RWB's etc..)

I usually only use those guys when the BB is vertical and the MA the same.

With this sideways it means congestion/consolidation and most likely a breakout is in order I would think. Or, this could be a nice head-n-Shoulder formation with a nice drop to around the 50% retracement area. I think it all depends where this bar closes.

I have no plan. I like to screw around with lines and indicators and that one popped when I was playing around with ATR and trendlines. I really dont know what to think of that one yet. LOL. Sometimes I throw something out there so you can see how crazy I am.

I highly doubt that the 'super traders' that work for goldman or others are doing any differently. Haha....

I passed my series 3 exam today, so that means I can apply for a license to reduce a persons invest-able assets to 0 if I choose. Ahhhh, Capitalism.....

That is too bad, you missed some really big moves! Wow... Too bad... There was at least 10 pips made in that time! You are really really unlucky!

I think Steve can actually be really lucky if this EURUSD keeps plugging along! haha...

The one hard part of this particular DD is I still usually make some pips during the DD but since last Thursday there have been very few, dang. I am not able to recuce anything or add to my account. Meanwhile FXSols grabs some more of my capital everyday. @$%#@^$@#$#$%$#^@&$&@#
