Thats an average of 139 pips. That can disappear in a couple of days if we get a turn around. Havent been this far down since May when I just bailed out but later found out I shouldnt. Back then we were facing the Greek bankruptcy thing so i thought teh Market was dangerous. Other than the USD the last couple of days I see nothing that strange going on. Market is just trending right now. Just take those disciplined losses at 4-500 mark and things will turn around. I have taken six so far this month which is a record so this is not normal to have so many. 1-3 a month is the norm. Tough tough trading month.

Me too. I waited till it got to 500. You will see later that taking the losses in the 4-500 range over time really helps the account. It is just a loss and as you see your equity curve go up and those occasional dips you dont feel quite as bad as you do the first couple of time you take them. I feel this month I am going to have to fight hard just to break even or have a small profit. Not a good trading month.

I love fundamentals. You get a good deal by going into debt further and that causes the currency to go up? Is there really some kind of logic there?? Can you explain that one to me.

but bob, if his average is -139 each on 36..... are you telling him to close all the ones that are currently at the -400->-500 mark right now? OUCH

edit: the -400 -> -500 you are talking about. is that the sum of L1+L2+ possibly a little into L3?

You are right, a very tough month and only the second month for me trading your system on my LIVE a/c...

I made a lot of mistakes and entered much too early into some trades, but fortunately only with small lots equivalent to 5 cents per 2000 bucks.

But I have confidence that the recovery system will do its job. It will be a real test though under hard conditions (trending market).

After all, this system is the first one giving me consistent profits.

In August with 22 trading days I made exactly (on my live a/c) +4075 pips on 22 pairs.

Please keep up the good work, you are doing a phenomenal job.

In the last 24 hours I have closed a eur/usd, eur/cad, and an aud/usd for over -1300 pips. Not exciting stuff I know but i have learned too many times the hard way of hanging onto trades too long. I am beginning to accept the fact that I may have a losing month this month but we will see how all these long trends go the last week. If they reverse I may still escape with a profit. We are not martingalers. we dont keep hanging on until we are wiped out. I have built up over 300 dollars in profit until the last week when things really went bad. I stilll have booked a profit so far this month and I still close out profitable trades every day but you know not everything always goes your way. I will not get myself involved where my account is in danger of getting wiped out. I closed out May with a loss but by end of June I had it all back. So that is what I go by. Taking losses is part of the game. Go to the higher charts when your 4-500 in the hole and determine what S/R line is broken that forces you to close out that L1 loss. When the Euro spiked up again today that was my signal to close out that L1 trade. That is the discipline of my system. Most of the time I have also the profit trades to 0 it out but the last week profit trades have been few a far between. Very tough time right now.

Ok not sure if i should post this in this thread or the ea thread or the study guide thread. SH*& Bob, youve got too many damn threads :-)

Steve or Scoob, while trying to use your atr technique, i have come across something strange with mt4. Im not sure if its just me being an idiot or what but when i apply the atr indi the values are correct but the orientation isn't see pic below.

The value of the 5(red) is lower than the value of the 200 (blue) but in pic where i have put them together, the 5 is above the 200

what am i doing wrong?

Just entered NU trade.

seems to be some pretty good resistance there. btw: Atr technique would keep you out of this trade. we will see how it does. and yes i know red hasn't made it there yet but like steve said: how much do we really care if reddy is in there or not? Nice to have him by your side but not gonna loose any sleep if he isn't there.

Now if i could just get out of EU.... think there are quite a few of us saying that (if you haven't already jumped ship on this pair)

Well spotted sir. I am sure there is an explanation for this. However, i do not have a clue. The ATR2 indicator shows totally different places where the 5 period and 200 period cross. I hope Steve, macman or swingman can tell us which one is the correct one. I am just confused now.

p.s. I suppose it does not matter to the EAs but for people who trade without EA it does make a lot of difference.

Haven't had chance to try that atr2 indi yet as I'm on the road but will take a look later.

This might be a fly by night operation but I found these guys based in Australia. 400:1 leverage,hedging and low( but variable) spreads. Swap rates? They accept US citizens.

try some other browser.. eg chrome/firefox.. or click on the paperclip icon and search for that attachment

Alternatively, you can just rename it. It's just the browser getting the extensions and such mixed up (or the code in the website messing up its file-handling. Whichever, end-result is the same).

Just change "attachment.php" to "MPTM 40 %2B30 ALL 0810.mq4." It's the exact same file, simply named wrong.

It should probably also be noted that it happens to me constantly (and randomly), and I use Chrome, so it seems to be the website, and not the browser.

I was going to post about this tonight, in view of something I have noticed. Press the F11 key to view a whole-screen chart and the graphical display changes.

I read the actual figures in normal-size mode and ignore the graphical stuff.
