Steve I appreciate someone else posting their results. Starting this week I will have my full schedule going. All my University classes have all started and I still have not found that first and second grade teacher. So between now and Wednesday we will see how many of them I will get. I did eat one, the nut and fruit ones arent bad and my wife likes the strawberry ones but the pork and egg ones gag ................. sorry. For those of you who have never had a moon cake just think of a square piece of fig newtons made from eggs and pork.

The problem is that I can see why that pair is appealing to people, because when its trend does reverse, even for a short time, then the gains can be huge.

But personally i just dont think the R:R is worth it apart from the heart stopping moments when it is trend bound to mars etc.

Anyway, i would just leave this pair be.

Nice pic. Get a good spike from a weekend gap and you will be sitting on a real nice trade. If price doesnt go up and hit it you just go look for another trade. What is nice about the EAs you dont have to sit around your computer waiting for the magic moment to happen.
If it happens you are in, if not, you didnt sit at your computer for hours waiting for it to happen then getting impatient and taking a bad trade.

Here is an example of a no trade. The RWB and sixths indicator are showing 2 different things so I would not turn on the #1 EA on this pair, gbp/aud.

i completely understand the bulge psychology, but i was wondeirng, in the usd/jpy bulge sell example you gave. does the EA take the trade when it is slightly above the 3ma then crosses through it going down? or does the ea take the trade when pa is slightly below the 3ma and goes up?

so i'm just curious as to whether the ea for this bulge sell triggers when pa crosses the 3ma going up....or going down.

Trade will kick in when it hits the MA on the way up in that example. Also, I'm pretty sure trade will kick in if price is past the Ma already and you turn the EA on.

Hi everybody...

I made a small indicator to maybe help some of you to not watch the charts 24/5

Bob... no worries, nothin new here
Just a dashboard which shows arrows when PA is either above/below green or gold line, both stochs are above/below 85/15 and Scoobs Fast/Slow ATR condition is met. Thats all.
As it has an alert and email function it is just an aide to check the related chart and see whether you want to trade or not... nothing more.
Then some helpful infos in the dashboard side including a recommended trade lot size (Account Equity / 100,000) as well as the daily pivots.

Hope that helps. And hope it does what it is supposed to

It does, and you were so pleasant in your reply. I'm starting to re-cooperate after having several bones broken by Mr Hopwood.

I'm mostly interested in NB's indicator and technique. I asked about NB EA just to compare it to other common indicators, what are the straight up stats. Trying to figure out where it does well, and where it fails. I suppose this is where EA 1,2,3 come in.

As soon as it breaks the MA line which actually in the code is a 4MA I have been saying it wrong because it is a #3 EA using a 4MA high. LOL. It enters on the break. I have another one I will put up with my next update which uses a 7 or 8 MA high. I have been testing it for about 2 weeks and and it is good for when price dips and then goes back to the same R/S line. The #3 sometimes will get you in too early so I am testing a better MA. I think it works well in testing.

That indicator is for the #6 EA I am trying to develop. I have on my screens so I can get used to reading it. It is not part of my system yet but I use it for observation. Maybe when I get home I can post it and get some advice as to what I am trying to see and do with that indicator. I am stuck on it some but probably I need help with it. So I will post it later and the basic idea behind it. It is a trend following indicator I have been trying to develop.

I have to go teach again this afternoon but I wanted to show you the difference in what happens to an account with them taking out their premiums from your profits. Some of the dips are closing of bad trades but you notice how the angle of the profit line changes. Especially the last half which shows a slow decline of profits as the premium fees are taken out every day. In other words during rough trading times like the last 10 days where you maybe just break even or your profits are small the constant day by day taking of the premium fee puts your profit line at a downward angle. In the first pic when my profit line was level. I was profiting and closing bad trades, my profit line is flat but in the second pic when I am closing losing trades with winning trades and they take their premium fee out my profit line shows a decline. So the first pic is end of July to end of August my profit angle and you can compare that with the fees being taken out every day with my end of August until now pic. Maybe now you can see what the danger is when they use your equity or profits to charge you the swap fees instead of keeping them part of the trade. Pictures are better than a thousand words. As soon as I find a good place to exit my trades I am bye bye FXSol UK.

as i said b4, i am living in your close by hong kong. i use fxcm which is the only LIVE broker i could find where i could use a mt4 platform. you being in china, are you able to open the same? or it is a problem because you have an american passport?

fxcm regardless of their bad rep. is not going to rob you blind like the broker you are talking about. i used their fx trading station LIVE but stopped Live trading for the past 2 weeks to go on demo with your methodologies. but my live mt4 a/c is ready now.

this is just an idea. i know fxcm probably wont have an office in china. but if you are ever in hong kong. it would just be a 1 day thing. and then you can fax them the rest. i am a canadian citizen. so to open a mt4 LIVE a/c in the united kingdom, i can use a canadian passport. i would imagine it would be the same if you a USA citizen. for the fx trading station II live a/c i gave them only my hong kong i.d. card. for the mt4 Live UK a/c they ONLY asked for my canadian passport. so i would imagine you could open an mt4 live UK a/c with them. i can get further details for you, if you want.

Until the new laws go into effect in Oct. it is hard to know what is going to happen. There are issues where they are going to try to stop us from going to foreign brokers but I think some of those things should get shot down in court which will take time. I am afraid once these brokers see this new method of taking money works many will begin adopting it. That is why I am going to try and act as quickly as possible and get out. If they lose enough customers maybe they will rethink the posisiton. I like FXSol fixed spreads because I know exactly what I am paying. 5 digit brokers much less so. This new company in Coral Gables is interesting in their setup around the new regs. Just hope they are an honest bunch. I am going demo their platform.

One of the reasons my system works is it is also designed to get around the broker games. MY SL are very far away and they dont move up until they are in profit. This eliminates the spike outs on SL, avoiding the TP lines and other games programmed into MT4. I dont talk about that part in my thread much but my systems are designed to get around those things. Anyway I will do my homework on the company in Coral Gables first and then look elsewhere if I am not satisfied. Stupid FXSol, did they really think people wouldnt notice the stupid game they are playing. Do they really think traders are that dumb? Dont answer that question Steve, they probably are.

Just want to post some results of doing the system (only Demo at this stage)

**(What I also do is after I close every trade I do a screen capture and make notes of what happened in the trade etc. If wanted I can convert and post also if requested)**

What I have done is use the system on 0.01 lots.

I know some people are scared of using the system without SL. That is because how our minds get imprinted from the beginning as everyone starts learning trading. The recovery system is one of the most brilliant things I have grasped the last month and this has changed my mindset for only the good.

What I have done even further to protect my equity is to break down my trades into the +- 2% per trade and divide those into 3 levels as per recovery systems.

For Example: If your account allows for 0.1 per trade (that equals the +-2%) I broke it down into the 3 levels as
L1 = 0.02
L2 = 0.03
L3 = 0.05
as per 1.6 multplier

so if I trade and it goes against me I still have the L2 and L3 to fall back on and still be safe and not worry to grind my teeth and eat toe nails etc.

So profit may grow slower but it grows and that is all that matters at the end of the day.

The brilliance is that some days I even had negative pips but positive profits.

I read the website for Collective forex but still don't think they'll get around the new regs. A US broker thumbing their nose at the CFTC, I don't see it happening. The CFTC will harass the heck out of them then go after the individual traders that deal with them. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it .
