Part 2 EURUSD Trend magic System

hi back from hols took an extra week although was at home just opened FF today but have been trading and struggling !

Markets have low volatility Aug always seems to be the same allot of people go away on hols in Aug it must have an impact..looking at friday the TM line was almost flat for 8 hours just immpossible to make money when its like that.

Friday i spent the day scalping with 10pip TP and 10 pip SL on a system I dug out of my bag that uses TM..

If its any good over the coming weeks I will post it on another thread ..

In the mean time lets pray for some volatility because without it the best of systems will just crash and burn

indeed the last friday was not so good as one could wish. Althou rest of the week was not so bad especali when one was scalping 10 pips out of the move. Next week also seams to come bit wierd cos we have NFP day on friday and then that week may have suprize for us.

Yes, for me a very simple and good system. I´m testing it for 2 weeks with very good results. Next week I´ll post some charts....

This system is really multi faceted and adaptable. I find myself preferring taking trades using 2 other indicators which dont belong being listed here that need to confirm oneanother, but I always leave TM on my charts to help pick out my SL points and sometimes TP levels especially when market entries need an immediate change to the entry to set the initial SL and TP levels and the TM visual makes it quick. It really does help in any number of ways besides trend. I also still usually dont trade against Paulus' longer term setting for the BBMACD and use it to try and stay a little longer regardless of other indicators.

without getting in to indicators from the old thread that repaint, i am finding that to just take the repainting arrows or dots as a warning, but as long as the TM slope is not flattening, stay in, works.

not meant to start a discussion--it was just my observation.

is there somewhere that i could get more info on the BB MACD indicator, i'm looking more for info as to how it should be used apart from the red end blue color changes

just joining this boat. Thank God I caught the thread early so easy reading. This is an amazing system, really simple and works. I love the SL functunality most. Not many systems can boast of tht.

I see you are using BB_MACD_CCT that I saved some time ago. Love that indicator for a scalping setup that I use....38,120,20. I see your settings are a bit slower....I'll have to check it out. Here is the source code...I see you have an exe file in post 2.

I think Paulus was trying to keep this thread clean of indicators. Since the alert is merely using the basic setup, seems OK to post the link.

nice trade, but 30 minutes earlier when both indicators went blue together, why not go long treating it as pullback with a new buy signal?
it would have failed, but thats hindsight.

No need to answer--its because the bands didnt re-expand.
I'll leave this post up though.
