Question about trend...

Hello! I have a question...in the attached photo, is the trend UP or DOWN? Please disregard whatever is on the left of the FIBO. Does a LOW/HIGH need something extra to be considered a LOW (beside the 2 bars on the left/right)? I mean like a series of bars CLOSING above the pivot bar or something? Tx!

Be careful with H4 feeds, it did not close below the 61.8 fib on my feed.

A low is a low, but most people will trade off a daily session close, rather than the low.

The trend is up on your chart. It starts at the bottom left hand corner and finishes at the top right hand corner.

Ty for your answer. No bar closed below 61.8% on my feed either. I am not actually interested in price after the arrow on my chart. What i meant to ask was : in that picture after the close of the red bar to which the arrow is pointing, is the trend still up? Why? Do you consider the trend being not up if a bar closes below its 61.8% retracement?

In a word, yes. Because there is a clear rejection of that level - i.e. the price fell below it and then closed above it. I would not consider the trend over if it had closed below the 61.8, but I would be looking closely at price action of the bars - especially on the daily.

Other factors should be brought to bear. For example 1.5150 is an important zone for cable and you can see I boxed out this support and resistance zone. Also, any way you draw the trend line it was not violated in this instance.
