For the last 45 minutes DOW is leading USDJPY/EURjpy perfectly.
Using DOW as a "preindication" I managed to make another 1500 EUR.

It'sall about watching naked charts and listen to the music/PA ....

Will call it a day now.

Just a warning shot across the bow, but hang on they may want to punish some of those who are heavy short, enjoy the ride.......

I rode some heavy from 82.95 till 83.75....

now small scouts out avg 84.15 .....and i am going to bed......

Has been a nice evening. Those trying to fight the BOJ tonight will find themselves fodder and alot lighter in the book come tomorrow.

Hi PipHop,

I'm using DOW and Gold mostly as a kind of sentiment indicator for the markets. A lot of the movements out there is caused by the so called "risk appetite" of the market. So there are some basic rules of the correlation between currencies and market sentiment, that are valid often, but not always. Was tempted to call it something like my special version of the 3 kingdoms, 5 Kingdoms or something like that ;-)

I get my charts for DOW, S&P500, Oil, Gold etc from Broco Investments.
Have a demo account with them to receive their data with their MT4 platform (www.brocompany.com).
The abreviations are:
Gold: GC_CONT
DOW: YM_CONT
OIL: QM_CONT

Good Morning Fiends,

seems I have missed that great action in Asian session.
Now I'm watching the markets for 15 minutes or so, but seems to be difficult to find an appropriate action for the dance.
Can't hear any music very clearly.
There is much of "AfterActionNoise"
Volatility is still extraordinary, eventhough the automatic zooming of MT4 tries to hide it ...

Hope you have al survived on the right side of the market.

seems BoJ finally decided to make their move and go for it last night. IMHO it's going to get very interesting when NY opens - now that the rumor on The Street is that QE2 is coming next Tuesday it seems everyone is selling their dollars and buying high beta assets...except for BoJ
Anyway, wouldn't like to bore you with my macro thoughts and it's not the intention of this thread. Hope you were all on the right side of the market during the intervention - that looks like a good gift from BoJ to whoever was simply up at that time

Just for info:

USD/ASIANS started on bearish note, after talk of more FED QE talk. However, early interbank sellers were left high and dry as the BOJ finally intervened after weeks of verbal comment on the strong JPY. USD/Asians were swept higher and higher, as short term sellers got burnt. Leveraged names and prop accounts reportedly were busy covering shorts. BNM added to panic buying in the USD/MYR, buying aggressively even above 3.1150 levels. With markets still heavily short in USD/Asians, could see further room for a stronger move to the topside in later sessions

thank you for your kind words, Macro economics stuff is my old passion since my junior years in the University but I surely wouldn't like to tout the subject here.

Seems markets not going anywhere yet, all kingdoms remain quiet. Time for a second cup of hot coffee maybe?
