Didn't got the run...because i had do switch off my pc while sleeping...grrr
yep BB squeeze....if the top and bottom BBs watch face to face,when their angles are moving/showing towrds the middle one...

h1 chart is best to look for spikes
take a look at EURUSD H4, s.th like that

In my opinion you would be better off putting your money into a fund than a robot. Robots require as much effort as trading them, at least for me. I believe it is a farce that a robot will do everything for you.

If you can't do semi-manual, then I don't see how you can do a robot unless you will lose money. I know a lot of people disagree, but that is just my reality. sorry.

That's how a possible spike could look like... --> top and bottom BB moving towards the middle one, angle is to the mid, when they almost touch each other a price outbreak is possible
but it's the D1 chart...H1 chart is better to look for spikes

always remember: spikes are banks

Actually, no. I've been trading fro more than a year, and I have no illusions about this business. I have manually intervened with every EA I've used, but manual intervention and manual trading are two different things to me.

working with RWB's etc...

I started looking at correlation as you suggested. Very interesting. One question though: Which correlation period is more suitable to the NB5 4H method?

I see a big difference between the daily and weekly. I suspect weekly is more suitable due to the frequent long hold for runners.

first BB's moving together, then spike arrives and BB's are separating again..

Unfortunately Steve's autobot moves sooo slow on the back tester and I haven't seen it make a trade yet. So I'll have to go at this testing manually. This will take some time.

I will give it a try today to see what is up. I can comment out some of the things we won't use etc... Probably because he is calling the icustom tag or a lot of indicators which will slow down the backtesting.

Turn off visual backtesting and that will speed it up some if you haven't already.

Do what makes sense to you. I find longer term correlations just mean that the currencies correlate longer. Brilliant, I know...

I think what you are looking for is something greater than a day... Usually 6 months, 12 months or longer is good too, but market conditions do change.

However, you will always find things in common like commodity currencies traveling together. EUR & CHF along w/ DKK and others traveling together etc...

Of course as everyone found out the last few weeks, EURCHF can sure diverge....

I started manually testing USD/JPY from 2008 to present and I'm through Sept. of 2008. This pair is looking peachy. 11 wins 1 loss using 100SL/100TP
I'm trying to set up Steve's MPTM to work on a 5 digit FXCM demo account. Currently trying to use the 40 +30 setup that NB uses. Does anyone have experience using it on the FXCM platform? Any tips or advice? Also wondering what the DoNotOverload5DigitCriminals option does?

I've read the manual, but still can't get the MPTM to work correctly. It randomly closses some trades saying stop loss was hit, when I have no stop loss set at all. So any help would be appreciated.
Ok manually back tested gu for the year of 2008 100/100..

16 total trades 14 wins 2 losses using 100 stop and take profit...

Manual trading sure takes along time..

I don't know if I will get to it today, sorry. Seems like Life is too busy at the moment, but I should be able to get it tomorrow.

Did you try no visual? Which broker are you running this on BTW? IBFX? FXSOL?
